I've been thinking about getting this game. Can two players play coop in the same console, or is it only online?

I am playing it on PC, so I have no idea.

I didn't even realize it had a co-op.... it is a perfect game for co-op considering how many NPCs they allow to fight with you.

Is this a game changer?
Totally.

Fallout being Xbox exclusive is huge.

(Yes I know there's other IPs but this is the one that does it for me)

I pre-ordered both systems and it's the first time I ever pre-ordered next gen. Hoping I'm not gonna be RRoD'th on either with the first wave and thank God I'm not punching ppl on black friday for one.

My greatest black friday story;

Walmart with five dollar games. My kids wanted fucking Batman Legos and as I went to grab it an old lady with a cane hit me so hard in the face she knocked out one of my teeth literally across the fucking store.

I watched my tooth land in the frozen food section, turned around and before I could tell her "what the **** is wrong with you", she dissapeared.

There were like 50 Batman Legos.

Just finished story mode and will try online soon.
Could you elaborate please.

Nice. Online is fun.

There is a paywall early in that you will have to buy gold bars to open up a role but it's easily bypassed. You'll get free gold bars by setting up 2 step authentication with your Rockstar account. You will get another set of gold bars by linking Rockstar account with Twitch Prime/Amazon Prime. Then you should be left with a balance of < 5 gold bars give or take a few to open up your first role and you just play out the stranger/npc missions to finish it off. Go for bounty hunter as your first role and eventually do Legendary Bounty hunter missions for the gold bar payouts.

Lastly do your daily as they reward gold multipliers. If you don't have time to play, least log in for <2 minutes and do your easiest daily to keep your streak going. Some are as simple as visiting a town or cooking. Longer the streak the larger the gold multiplier payout. If you miss a daily you get reset back to zero so it's worth it to log in and keep the streak going, especially if you find yourself playing online awhile.

It's open world PvP so players can kill you but you can kill them back and you lose nothing on death....

Good stuff!

Please explain further. How can you not kill them back?
So no penalty or loss at all when you die?

  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Michigan Wolverines
  2. Purdue Boilermakers
I've got a few games going. Some Need for Speed, some Battlefield 1, and Rocksmith. There just isn't enough time in the day to do the things I really want to do.

@Scoot26 I got the HOI4 itch.

Decided to grab the Resistance DLC and play a fresh game over the weekend.

Feels like they re-balanced some stuff... because I had stuff happen way different from normal.

Usually Japan absolutely 100% STEAMROLLS China, so I usually give China a boost pre-game so they can fight on and not get rolled up by 1938 and leave me fighting a Japan with so much fucking capacity that I have no choice but to fight a fucking land war in China. This time China beat the shit outta Japan, took back Korea, and signed a White Peace at the end of 1939.

And usually Germany crushes the Soviets hard mid-1941, but for some reason they waited an extra year.

Btw it looks to me like they built the whole new espionage system for HOI4 on the bones of the Intrigue system for CK3.

Not sure if that's good or bad, but right now the game feels too busy to manage an entire intelligence community in addition to Army, Navy, Air Force, Construction, Trade, Research, Diplomacy, Resistance, Subjects, National Focus, etc.

This is why I haven't gotten the Resistance DLC.

I haven't even figured out how to effectively manage the Navy, not sure how I'm suppose to do intelligence community too.

They are all cool things, but we as the user should have the option to turn some of this shit off if we want. There are something I'm fine with leaving as the original vanilla game intended.

Yeah they could do their player base a favor if they allowed you to have a friendly AI assistant that could handle parts of the game that people struggle with.

One for me is Navy organization.... I spend so fucking long setting Navy task force compositions or resetting a fleet's orders.... why can't I have an AI help me with the Navy? And those Naval engagement pop ups.... have something organize those into like weekly or monthly reports I can view.

Even the POTUS doesn't ever micromanage this many things during a war.

They also need an overhaul of the Air war, it is way too simplistic and seems to allow the opposing AI to just win by stacking up thousands of planes in airfields that can't hold them.

I also think research should be even less linear.... scientists should be characters you recruit and assign ala research in Stellaris which is way better IMO.... in Stellaris you have 3 lines of research, and many scientists you can assign, plus scientists can gather intel about enemy technology gathered from battlefields.... in HOI4 you could do similar stuff and it'd be historically accurate.

Baulder's gate 3. Going through early access bugs but the play is fulfilling if you are into RPG's and the cut scenes are excellent so far.

I dealt with some crash bugs but they have a feedback and seem to address them.

I've never gotten into VR games, but was wondering if this one was worth it.

What do you think?

The game leads you through a story as all the other half life games did. The world is intersting to be inside. It isn't overly complex, but there are some interesting gaming "incidents". What I mean by that is you can only experince them in a certain way in VR.

One example is being held at gunpoint and physically having to keep your hands up. Another is actually aiming a gun with your hands so the sights line up...

I believe they are giving the game free if you buy the Steam VR system.

I have the original Vive and it still looks fantastic....

The game I recommend for everyone with VR is Star Wars Squadrons.......There is nothing like sitting in the cockpit of a TIE fighter flying around a star destroyer
