My last two years of college, I lived in the woods during the warm months, lol. It was actually pretty nice. I had a pickup with a cap and a platform in the bed with a mattress. When it was time for bed, I just rolled up to the national forest and crashed. Had a stove and a press for making coffee. I was so busy with school and drinking, thats about all I needed from a house.

I never did that but in college I did sublet a 200-square-foot-room in Spanish Harlem in a building that I later found out Robert Duvall, Dustin Hoffman, and Gene Hackman split an apartment in. I moved shit into the hallway at the end of the night to tip my mattress down.
