Self-aggrandizing bump for my #calledit.

Fields on a 17 game pace for 3320YRDS 61% COMP 23TD 13INT 905Yrds rushing and 11-6 record if not for FLUS 4 quarter idiocy.

What do you do as GM if Justin Fields has a good not great season ( 3600yards, 65%comp , 24TD 8INT, 750 yrds rushing) and leads the Bears to 10-7 record) and the Panthers crash and burn giving the Bears the #1OA.

Assume Caleb Williams tears it up again.
Some of my favorite posts in this thread:
Currently, the comp for Williams is Mahomes.

While I'd love to see the Bears get the No. 1 pick, I doubt Carolina crashes and burns to that level. Their division is awful, they'll roll out the best QB in this year's draft and they have a new head coach who is known for developing young QB's. I expect them to win something like 6 or 7 games.
dohh

Justin Fields holding a clipboard teaching the next QB how to run instead of pass of course.
Bwahhhh!

The Bears haven’t had a QB start every game of the season in 13 fucking seasons. There is a good chance that Fields is going to miss time
#calledit

And the one that puts all others to shame:
I agree you still take 5th year option but you have to trade one of them or move fields to wr.

Fields would still start in this offense if he wasn't a QB, but it would be too expensive.

The Bears are 6-9. Their record will be below .500, yet again. You can't say, "but if only this and that happened..." You are what your record says you are.

I was WAY OFF on my prediction regarding the Panthers and their record this year. Happily, so.

My hypotheticals on a 17 game season by Fields were pretty close, I missed on the record a fair bit. My mistake was I never factored in the HC throwing three games.

Interestingly, 75% in the poll said keep Fields under such circumstances. Take away the CLE one hop INT and the FailMary INT and Fields projected numbers would be near dead on. Seems like no where near 75% of CCS is in the keep Fields camp. Can't see the individual votes anymore, wish I could to see who has flip flopped.

I'm down for fields or Caleb just get Bowers and a gr8 center either way.

Poles choice on Fields and picks VS Caleb Williams is like Brad Pitt choosing between Jennifer Aniston or a young Angelina Jolie.

You've got the stable dime piece all american vs the vial of Billy Bob Thorton blood necklace wearing tomb raider that might just leave you paralyzed from orgasm.

Tough choice that few can dream of having..

Brad chose poorly. Hopefully Poles fairs better.

Jennifer Anniston(Fields) is such an easy choice for those that wish to stay disease free

Threads like this are fine for fun but not for calling people out on later. Probably why I never voted. You can’t just judge someone on projected stats. I think everyone would agree stats don't tell the story.

Idk how you are saying you projected close when he is at 60% completion and 5 more interceptions with two games to go and missing a quarter of the season to injury.
