What do you think about the players the Bulls signed for the 2010-2011 season?

After Lebron's decision to take his talents down to South Beach, the Bulls were forced to start working on plan b. Soon after, the Bulls wasted no time signing Carlos Boozer. Then like a domino effect Kyle Korver, Ronnie Brewer, Omer Asik, C.J. Watson, and Kurt Thomas followed close behind. Tell me what do you think about each player. Do you agree with them being signed to the Bulls? How do you think they will benefit the team? Do you think there will be good chemistry between the players? Is this the beginning of a good start to rebuild the Bulls into contenders? LET ME KNOW! OK, READY, SET, GO! :woot:

I liked the signings for the Bulls. We are going to suprise some people. I think that we will finish in the Top 4 in the East.

This team is deep and has talent. All they need now is another perimeter defender/SG and they're set. I think the Bulls are a top 3 or 4 team in the East.

One thing the Bulls definitely don't seem to be is a top 3 team in the East. I'd be surprised if they got past a healthy Boston, Orlando, or Miami team in the Playoffs.

depending on how Tibs runs things, could see these boys go as high as Eastern Conf. Finals

who's better?

Miami - no bench whatsoever
Orlando - still has Vince Carter on the squad & loss of Matt Barnes will hurt
Celtics - getting older, loss of Tibs will hurt, & Perkins being gone for 3/4s of the season will REALLY hurt

your witness, sir.

Not true.

Ilgauskas and Magloire > Thomas or Asik (I'm guessing)
Haslem is more proven than Taj Gibson
James Jones is more proven than James Johnson
Mike Miller is better than Kyle Korver
and Arroyo or Chalmers are interchangable with C.J. Watson (who won't get much PT anyway).

Orlando - still has Vince Carter on the squad & loss of Matt Barnes will hurt

Pietrus will just play more minutes at 3, and so will Rashard Lewis. Brandon Bass and Pietrus both deserve more PT and they will get it now that Barnes is gone.

and VC is way better than anything the Bulls have at the wing spots.

Celtics - getting older, loss of Tibs will hurt, & Perkins being gone for 3/4s of the season will REALLY hurt

C'mon... Sure, the Bulls might end the season with a better record, but look at what Boston did last year. They are far from done... to say otherwise would be ridiculous.

here's my opinion

although the bulls didnt get the big guys like lebron or wade or bosh or amare like most of yall thought they would and got boozer(who is my boi) things worked out well...chicago is going to have a DEEP team...and as i said Chicago doesnt NEED a superstar...because i think Derrick Rose is already one and i think him being on team USA could be very beneficial(especially with working with one of the GOAT coaches Coach K) I really like Chicago's starting 5 from top to bottom....really no glaring holes in the starting...and deep with veterans and young players alike

again i really like chicago's starting 5 and depth and i think they will make some serious noise in the East this year. I think top 3 or 4(behind miami, orlando, and boston?) maybe even top 2 depending on the injury situations

just my .02

ehhh...they both cancel each other out. and Thomas is not only a beast on the boards, but dude has a legit perimeter shot (ask SA or Milwaukee).

Haslem may be more proven, but remember Taj is a rook and is only going to get better (and w/ Tibs coaching him up? could be a nice defensive 6th man).

again, Johnson = rookie...he'll get better (i hope)? from what i'm hearing, he's not doing it all in SL, but 82 games is a long way.

yea Miller's better than Korver, but he's a starter. Miller more upside, but he tends to get hit w/ nagging injuries (and Korver can be used off the bench for instant spurts). and who's to say Miller is gonna get the ball anyway except on 3s?

Arroyo & Chalmers - yea i'll give you that, but Chalmers is still green on the O end.

Pietrus will just play more minutes at 3, and so will Rashard Lewis. Brandon Bass and Pietrus both deserve more PT and they will get it now that Barnes is gone. and VC is way better than anything the Bulls have at the wing spots.

SVG doesn't know what he's doing w/ Bass. dude should've obviously been playing last year more, but he couldn't find him any clock. and in this case, i'll take Deng over Carter at this point (VC needs to penetrate, but won't. he's a shooter first and a black hole on offense).

C'mon... Sure, the Bulls might end the season with a better record, but look at what Boston did last year. They are far from done... to say otherwise would be ridiculous.

yea, but this is another year. Boston is turning out to be the San Antonio of the East (82 games for KG, 82 for Pierce, 82 for Ray). even w/ rest, the wear & tear on their bodies is NUTS!!! Rondo will still do his thing, but will that be enough? and will J. O'neal be that help on the defensive end? time will tell brother....

don't be shocked if the Bulls end up as the 6th seed.

Miami, Orlando, Boston, Atlanta, Milwaukee

The thing about Miami is that if one of their 3 superstars gets hurt, they don't have someone who can replace their production. Let's say if LeBron gets hurt, who plays SF? While having the other 2 helps, that team isn't very deep.

haha, well, if LeBron got hurt then they'd be screwed anyway.

Yep
Maybe Kurt Thomas can do something about that..
Imagine if Lebron got hurt in Cleveland, Cavs fans would rejoice

Personally, the Bulls need to get this team's health on par with what is needed for this season. Deng is a long-shot trade so we better make the best of it, Brewer just recovered from his Hammy, Boozer has had some history with injury, Asik recovered not long ago... The sooner we have guys spending their time on a conditioning program, like Tim Grover's or hell, anyone that can really help these guys get into prime durability, the closer we'll be to the ECF.

I like all of our additions on the court. I like Thibs, I don't like how the FO continues to neglect the "specialty" personal training.

Attack Athletics | Where The Pros Train It's so close to us, and he has had so much success with players of all levels. I really cringe anytime I hear that a player is working with Jeff Tanaka. I'm not saying he's bad, but he doesn't sell what some of these players need to buy.

How is that surprising? They're essentially the exact same team that they were last season

and they struggled to beat a Milwaukee team w/o Andrew Bogut. THAT'S why it's surprising.

Atlanta is damn good. Al Horford is really turning out to be one of the best centers in the league. Josh Smith is one of the best defensive players in the league, and Joe Johnson is lights out. Everyone is sleeping on Milwaukee and Atlanta, but both teams could get really hot at the right part of the year, and make a serious run to the finals. Atlanta's problem was consistency in the paint, and Milwaukee's problem was consistency on the wings. One more year for young guys like Horford and Jennings will mean a LOT to how the East is ranked.
