I’ll post the mock in March when we have a better idea of who is actually going to hit FA and we’ve had the combine.

Ideal offseason is get the best vet C and G available (not convinced Smith will be but I bet Dalman will). There’s a bunch of other moves that need to be made in FA and several lines of decision making the Bears need to go through there, but pretty much every decision line starts with getting the best vet G and C they can.

Draft pivots around what gets done in FA but bare minimum you can probably lock in 1 of the first 3 picks as a day 1 starting G no matter what.

My own personal ideal result is Bears trading down enough to pick up yet another 2nd which is probably 17-20 range and Walter Nolen is still on the board. I don’t know why any of those teams would trade up and I suspect Nolen may end up going before those picks, but my pie in the sky result is an extra 2nd and Nolen with the first round pick.

Not an elijah moore fan?

He seems like the perfect fit to me for what we need as a #3

To me the perfect offseason(And what I did in madden) would be:

Trey Smith
Ryan Kelly
Chase young(PFF has him with a higher pressure rate - Should hopefully be much cheaper than sweat and allen knows him)
Javon Kinlaw on a 1-2 year deal
Jaylen Warren
Elijah Moore

Draft:
Trade down to net another 2nd, no clue with who
Draft OG Tyler booker after trade down
Draft DE Princley Umanmielen with #39
Draft S Xavier Watts with #41 - Cut Byard to save 7m if briskers brane works
Draft Kaleb Johnson w/ 2nd gotten from trade down
Draft DT Darius Alexander with #72
Yeah i'd definitely be down with Elijah Moore.

I also like going with a S high but if you remember last years free agency there were multiple big name safeties that just sat out there and weren't signed until real late into the offseason, so i think we could get a good one on a cheap 1 or 2 year deal if Poles can finally show a little restraint and wait some of these guys out instead of throwing big money at guys on day one of free agency like he did with K.Byard and D.Swift last year. I don't mind sticking with Byard for next year though. Brisker is another story with the ridiculous injury history. I really like him but that guy seems like he leaves every damn game with a injury even if it's just coming out for a play or two. I can't pay him big money which sucks because i like him as somewhat of a leader and like him as a player.

Do me a favor when you do start looking at possible free agents and check out Milton Williams (3T Eagles) and tell me what you think about him as a good pickup for us on a good deal. Don't know everything about his playing time with the Eagles but he seems like he's just stuck behind Jalen Carter but when he does get in he makes shyt happen.

Regarding the trade, my hope is that one of the 2nd tier QB's(Ewers, Milroe,Dart) has a great offseason and a desperate team like the steelers trade up. Hopefully dart or milroe ball out in the senior bowl.

honestly I could do without the fantasy mock draft scenarios that won't actually happen and all the usual #calledit bullshit and eating crows and whatever other staples of CCS have existed the last 13 years

it would be better if people just acted like fans instead of being edgelords or wannabe GMs

I can't find any other current topic that's genuinely interesting cause it's all the same yammering nonsense mixed in with terrible Jordan Sigler articles, so bye for a few days probably
The Jennifer King firing was the last straw huh?

1) Draft Walter Nolen at #10. By year two Nolan will be giving this defense 8-9 Sacks & 8-9 TFLS and a couple FFs a season from the interior. Nolan isn't a potential All Pro elite pass rusher, but he is an excellent passrusher and an excellent run defender who is as even keel as it gets between the two.

Nolan isn't the next Aaron Donald but he is another Quinnen Williams in the making. Bill Johnson is the perfect Defensive Line coach to work with a young DT like Nolan.

2) If Conerly Jr. is still on the board atop round 2 then I hope the Bears get him. Conerly is VERY green and.I would not play him as a rookie.

Conerly needs to fill out more, yet he has the frame to fill out, needs to add strength and work on his anchor. Conerlys footwork in pass protection is damn near flawless. I believe Conerly has the highest ceiling of any OT in this class.

3) Draft either one of Omarion Hampton or Kaleb Johnson. I like Kaleb Johnson but I think Omarion is a better fit for what Ben Johnson is likely do offensively. Either one would be an excellent addition.

4) Draft Jake Majors. Majors is as steady as it gets for a CENTER prospect. I think hes only given up 1 sack in over 2800 snaps as a starting CENTER in the SEC. Unlike a lot of this year's CENTER prospects Majors is just as steady as a run blocker.

5) Draft a SLOT with speed. Tez Johnson would be a nice fit.

6) FLEX TE

7) Sign Tre Smith in Free Agency

8) Trade for a bona-fide DE around TC with 2026 draft capital. If the Bears could swing a deal for a young DE like Travon Walker I'd be all over it. If the Bengals don't feel comfortable extending Hendrickson then he would be a great fit

That would make roster a scary unit for the foreseeable future.

Don't care who but lots of Trenches.

And then a breakaway RB.
