I feel cross fit is a fad, but I think it's a good one since it gets people moving. Yeah, you pay out the ass but at least it's worth something.

When I work out *grabs a swig of pepsi* I prefer the alone single muscle workouts (curls, deadlifts, bench, squats, overhead press) and HIIT. I looked into cross fit but I'm not looking to pay $150 to work out with a bunch of people, I want to get in and get out.

To each his own ...

I typed that out wrong. I meant I like working out alone, doing single isolated muscle groups (Curls, Flys) or doing upper/lower body lifts (Squats, Cleans).

Ahh. Gotcha. I thought you were saying things like deads and squats were single muscle workouts (e.g. isolation).

Actually, CrossFit is growing. It may peak then subside but will always be around to some degree

You may want to lone wolf it but that requires a lot of self discipline to go to the gym every day and push yourself. Some people really want the camaraderie and structure and the strict monitoring that Crossfit accords

Which I don't think is a bad thing. I'm actually all for CF if it's done by a legit instructor/gym. If I had buddies that wanted to do it I would probably join in with them. I won't bash anyone who does CF cause their still working out and building muscle while losing fat (with proper diet that is).

I just don't mind being alone with my music and thoughts on my own working out.

Yeah I wrote that all wrong.

Thing is, I know what I need to do in regards to building muscle and losing weight, I just lack the motivation to do it. That's the toughest part is being structured with your diet more so than what lifts you do. Shit, simple body weight exercises and a good diet could get anybody fit.

I've just preferred the lazy way lol.

I was thinking about charging a local crossfit gym to come out to the farm the next time we get a hay delivery. They can unload and stack it 7 bales high (i usually go six) ill feed them grassfed beef liver for their paleo diet, and charge for that too. Overachievers can stay to muck out the barn with these giant shovels i got, and if they still need to grind they can split logs and clear out the mile long forest trail with machetes. Do u think ill get paid for this?
You'll end up with a bunch of dead city guys. Nothing like throwing bales when you can't suck in any air because it's all dust and about 120 degrees.

We only get hay in the fall/winter. It's usually in the 30s. I agree about the dust but I just wear mask...

I don't know? Do you fondly look back and overpaying for overhyped cultish garbage that is a huge fad such as what Jane Fonda's Aerobics and billy banks Tae Boe was?

Here she is, bout time

Dipshit, I've said it numerous times. I DON'T GO TO A CROSSFIT GYM. I do, however, think that anyone who finds an exercise routine that they enjoy and are getting results from should continue with said routine. Why you shitting on people's progress?

I forgot how much desbro hated crossfit.

I don't necessarily hate it. I find it humorous and moronic people pay so much for shit they can do in a backyard, pair of gymnast rings and going to a junk yard.

But that's just me.

Oh, and that its a fad.

Iol at Jane Fonda people and Tae Boe bros.

Crossfit people are just next in line.

Because once the trend dies they won't go anymore.

It's sad in a way. People needing to feel apart of some cultish attitude/dress attire in order to workout. Then again, that's gym culture. Who the **** buys $30 under Armour shirts to workout? I got a ramones t shirt I had for well over a few years and shitty sweatshirts: I'll never understand the gym fashion sense.

Does your gym have exercise classes? Or do you know of any gym that has a schedule of classes taught throughout the day?

There's absolutely nothing wrong with crossfit in concept. The only thing I see wrong with it is instructors that don't correct bad form, but that doesn't mean the concept is problematic.

Crossfit haters are just insecure like any sort of hater. I mean, despbro has a ramones shirt he wears to the gym and knocks people who wear atheletic clothing to work out, yet I recall him hating on people who wear misfits shirts to drink at a bar, or wear skinny jeans to go for a ride on their cafe racers. It's just hateration, plain and simple.
