Yea, so let's show this punk what's up! No person from Florida is going to show us whose the bigger team!
True, but it's not an announcement and it's too general to put in any of the chicago team forumsBut this is sports related! haha
I'll stick by argument earlier.
Right now it's still the Bears. If they get back to winning this fall, they'll stay there.
If not, the Hawks are taking over.
And I think you're missing the biggest debate Keith. Anytime said that the Hawks will NEVER be the top team in the city, and I don't think that's true at all.
Now: Blackhawks
Come football season: Bears
Football will always be more popular than hockey, unless hockey can somehow overtake the NFL if they have a lockout in 2011
Baseball is on the rocks at the second, and it depends on who the Bulls get in FA.
It's all about the Blackhawks at the second, and football has a much larger fan base in Chicago because a lot of people are just now getting turned onto the idea of hockey. Blackhawks buzz won't be too much come football season just because it's off-season. When they start back up, I think it'll have a lot more buzz.
Really....it's seasonal. Chicago is too big for "one team".
But I think the biggest sign that a team is "on top" is how much they get talked about in the off-season. That's the biggest indicator of a team's popularity. Remember how nuts everyone went when Cutler was acquired? That's why the Bears are #1 one right now. There was a decent buzz when Hossa was signed, but not quite the level of Cutler.
imagine if the bears won the super bowl
