What is the night time like for the angry day drinkers?

Don't start in the morning if you can't maintain... These saps with no fortitude should find stuff to do if they going to pound. Myself I usually like to cook, play online poker, get the guitar or ukulele out..

I want some midday drunk posting in here for chure! Hopefully we can get a FT appearance!

Personally I am not much of a day drinker. That being said I certainly am not afraid of the booze. I just prefer to drink at appropriate hours. All this being said I wonder what people drink when they day drink, is it beer and sippers? Or are we doing mixed drinks and shots at noon?

In all fairness I have had beers over lunch before, but never when I had to go back to work.

The older I get, the more I enjoy day drinking tbh. Usually day drinking also involves some kind of hobby (for me at least, maybe not old angry ppl) bags, grilling, camping, etc. I'd rather be drunk by 5 PM and in bed by 10 PM then out at a bar completely sloshed at 2 AM.

Covington, Kentucky, very high percentage of day drinkers. Once in a bar there around 4pm and a guy who I'd been talking to had to be taken out by his wife because all of a sudden he thought I wanted to **** his daughter, who was evidently 14 and not even there, and was maybe going to hit me. On her way out the wife said, "it's ok, we're day drinkers."

I've mentioned many times before that I love beer, craft beer specifically. I find no issue whatsoever with someone enjoying a nice beer early in the day. However, there are clearly some people (Urblock and tbd, por ejemplo) who clearly can not handle early drinking. These are two people that we* need to build up with positive energy, so that they may recognize their issues.



* I will not be helping out with Urblock. He is dead to me.

I too have no issues with early drinkers who like to ENJOY a good brew and buzz. I myself have cracked a cold one or 6 pre-5 pm. I guess I just don't get why one would continue to booze when the mood swings to a bad place, especially during the day because it's unlikely to get better into the evening.

Haven't been day drunk in a very long time. It's also been a very long time since I have been drunk. I'll have a few drinks every now and then...and occasionally have a couple drinks during the day on a weekend, but can't think of a time in the past 4 or 5 years where I have been drunk before 5pm and it's probably been as long since I have been drunk after 5pm. I guess the older I get the more I prefer smoking to drinking.

For me some days the thought of day drinking doesn't feel right or sound good so I don't, but if I do it'll be on a Sunday usually. No PBR either sorry Lou...a good IPA, as opposed to a bad one haha.

I just don't get why one would continue to booze when the mood swings to a bad place.

I have struggled with understanding that most of my life. People that fully well understand how ugly they get when they drink, but continue to do it anyhow.

They may give a laundry list of excuses, but there are always alternatives like transcendental meditation or heroin. However, I am not trying to derail this thread into a general "alcoholism" thread.
