I wanna know what you edited out, lol.

I suppose it is job security, but my ultimate career goal (even if I was teaching history) is to become an athletic director, so..........yeah.

LOL.

Team him up with Arry and Bert and you're screwed. Then there's those damn troublesome trucks...it's not just a clever name.

I'm a full time student getting my master's in School counseling. I was also a history major in my undergrad. Good to see I wasn't the only one that didn't end up actually teaching history

I'm going to college for a dual-major.

I'm getting my journalism degree so I can become a sports cameraman. And I'm getting a major in history because I've always loved it. Plus I think it would be sweet to write a history book.

I'm a General Business Consultant. Free lancing right now, which sucks, but its money.
Tons of success and experience in business management, but since I don't have a degree, all of a sudden I'm worthless in the open job market. YAY

I work for a small bank as a part time teller. I graduated from college in 2009 with a Business degree in Project Management..cant find shit...My network sucks so I also dont have alot to go on from friends and such. My school attempted to help me in most of 2009, but even they were of no real help then.

So until something comes along I just wait and hope for something to come along.

Just set up email alerts on monster.com, and indeed.com for job openings you like. Prob other search engines too but those are the ones i used.

Also, VERY IMPORTANT, make a good resume and make it "searchable" on Monster. Companies look at them all the time and I constantly get emails.

I got my current job, and my new job that i start next week, from applying online. No university help, no networking, no contacts within companies. It took me a long time but I did it.

Also, since im leaving my job after today, if you have ANY skills with excel or computers, apply for this job:http://jobview.monster.com/Data-Analyst-Chicago-IL-Job-Downers-Grove-IL-90120177.aspx

They are desparate to fill it soon. The pay kinda sucks but it would be a easy commute from Lombard and its not hard at all. Its a good place to gain experience.

I'm really thinking I need to find a backup. Journalism in newspapers is a dying industry. I want to be a journalist bad, but if there's nothing there, then I'm screwed.

I added on the second clause; you already know I'm in the same boat and thought by leaving it as it was could come off assholish.

Stupid question from me...does an AD need a 75?

I thought about going that route before, too. I think you've got to do something related to TV or computers when it comes to media, or you'll eventually be out of a job.

I've been an English Teacher and I'm now a Special Education Teacher at a middle school. Now that's job security. I kind of like doing the jobs that make people cringe - gives you a sense of satisfaction at the end of the day. And, oh yeah, the kids are great, too!;)
