Duluth Trading company changed my world when it comes to jeans.

They have the ball room gusset and you can get heavy denim, light denim, stretchy denim (If that is your thing) all in all not too expensive and if you are unhappy with them they always come with a return shipping label.

They are durable and they are comfortable.

If I had to pick a second brand I do have a few pairs of Lucky Brand Jeans as well, but I rarely wear them because I always go for the Duluth trading co jeans.

I wanna say they run about 50-60 bucks if you do not get them on a sale.

I've looked at them, but have a hard time justifying the price when all I'm going to do is rip them up at work.

If you are not satisfied with how they last you can return them for refund or replacement... Check out their guarantee.

I by Duluth stuff online, I do think there is a store in the chicagoland area though. They hit your email with specials and send catalogs every couple of months.

Pretty standard jean sizing.

I know the thick denim took me a long time to even feel like they were broken in. but afterwards have been my favorite pair of jeans for a three or four years now.

Edit: Lucky brand can be found at Nordstrom Rack. But they are expensive now. Used to get them for 35 - 40 bucks but the last few times have been closer to 75.

Thanks. I'm always afraid about buying clothes online without trying them on. The size measurements always seem to be off and vary by brand.

I only know of duluthtrading.com. I've never seen them at a store. I usually buy Wrangler for work. Old Mill are cheap from Menards, but insanely stiff. Wrangler's are comfortable and durable. Outside of work, I don't care as long as they're comfortable.

Again check out their return policy, if they do not fit they come with a return label usually and they will get you something in a better size.

I would maybe do a little search on the web I am sure someone has posted somewhere about what they compare to size wise that you could try on locally.

There's a Duluth store in Downer's Grove. I pass the billboard every day to work. Completely forgot about it.

i have 3-4 old levi silver tabs (loose fit/boot cut) ive been rocking for a long time. i prefer the early 00 versions.. they changed the silver tabs somewhere in the mid 00 (04-07??) at least i feel they did.. but i have a few pairs of late 00 i wear too..

now i just buy brands im unfamiliar with in oz (made in some asian cuntree) if i buy any.. basically have bought 2-3 pairs in 6-7 years. they work

i rarely wear jeans anymore though.. only in winter when i bust out the logger boots ive been hooked on since my late teens... i gots brown, tan and black these days..

depending on the boot, they come with it..

they arent cheap... murican made.. but with imported shat ---- shhhhhhh

good boots.. both my chippewas are nearly ten years old.. worn in rotation and in winter so they are good to go for another 10 yrs imo..

my third pair are a cheaper non steel toe ad-tech logger that are 5 years old... i actually do most of my outdoor work with them.. theyve taken a beating.. may be time to replace them

i had black skechers loggers that lasted 5-6 yrs in the the rotation.. but once i started wearing them everyday years ago..really putting the miles in (hiking) the soles started to break, screws started to drop out.... repair cost almost as much as new boots.. so they are dead.. but for cheap loggers.. id get some skechers again, if steel toes arent required.

i may order some other cheap ones to try to replace the ad techs

Lucky jeans fit the best so I stick to those. I have one citizen jeans but spending that much on jeans never again but they were by far the most comfortable

My favorite pair is a nicely worn pair of GAP jeans, starting to get a hole in the crotch though, sadly.

Found some brand new w/ tag Gap '1969' jeans at flea market for $8. Not sure what the normal price on these are, but I'm pleasantly surprised with the find. Not sure if I would do any yardwork with them, but they're already one of my favorite lounge jeans.

What kind of jeans do I wear?

Black. Usually looser fit in case I need to crouch down for a shot--although I find myself wearing cargo pants more and more--can't hold lenses in a jean pocket.

ND is horrible.
Levis, boot cut, darker somewhat passable fashion-wise denim.

I don't love the fit, but with my big ass size, they'll never look great. Levis usually last 3-4 yrs for me (I wear mostly Khakis/slacks to work) and the only thing that goes ever are the belt loops.

Sucks being a large human: i'm a 38/39 when i'm in relatively good shape, and I am not close to being in good shape right now.
