well with the stalberg topic brought up. I really hope that the extended offseason he learned to: have better puck control, better skating ability (not speed), better shot. I mean he had all this time to prepare and I dont think we play the blue jackets 8 times this year, if we do he should be fine no matter how defected he is.
also wanted to get the pulse from sassone since really only him and rozner are the hockey guys in town that I really respect. I stated "we need a 2c badly" in response to him not wanting hammer gone and he agreed with that part. Sure the offense was fine, but it wasnt good enough on the PP which was obvious was brunette was our guy out there. We need the depth, we need a 2c.
To be fair, what player acquired would really gel in right away?
I'm not saying it should stop the Blackhawks from making a move, but...
Well if they're going to be playing in 10 days, I think it'd be hard for a new player to adjust :shrug:why because of a lay off? so I suppose there shouldnt be deals done at the trade deadling because that player will be inserted right away and not gel? im confused.
Adding now would be the same as any other time. Chemistry will be out of whack everywhere. The first few games will be laughable.
A bigger problem will be the following year - having quality depth (if you're adding) with elite talent at 64.3.
The salary cap and other future changes are why I think the Blackhawks should stay put. Offense was fine last year and defense was the problem. A full year of Oduya, Brookbank, Rozsival will help a little. The 2c (especially with cap dropping) should come from in house with options being Pirri, Kruger, or Kane - unless even money is traded.
Let the season play out some and then make a move if necessary.
What about Montador? Is he going to get bought out or???
any ideas? I almost forgot what we needed...oh yeah....a 2nd line center still.
