If you had the ability to relocate a NBA team, where would it be and why?

Golden State Warriors. There is no need for three teams in California, they would have many more fans in another location.

I'd move them to somewhere like St. Louis, I think they'd love a basketball team there.

New Orleans Hornets (has one of if not the best PG's in the NFL and a pretty good team this year but every time I see their highlights I see a lot of EMPTY SEATS)

Toronto Raptors (Nobody wants to go to Toronto and nobody will ever STAY long term in Toronto)

Los Angeles Clippers (to San Diego, nobody cares about the Clippers in Los Angeles)

What is with the hostility towards the Toronto Raptors? I mean from the outside looking in Toronto looks like a better place to live than most of the cities that have NBA teams. Is it just a USA/Canada antagonism thing?

Michael Wilbon mentioned one of the teams that should be moved to Seattle and to be honest I agree with him. I felt bad when the Sonics were gone and it seems like the fans appreciated it more their than teams like the Grizzlies or Timberwolves or other teams in their state.

clippers, timberwolves, grizzlies and hornets.

i'd move the hornets to seattle, they deserve a star. i'd move the clippers to vegas and force sterling to sell the team, timberwolves to st louis and grizzlies to baltimore.

and good thing the nets are moving to brooklyn. they can easily support two basketball teams.

Move the A's to Montreal or somewhere in Quebec.

Them being competitive for the most part for most of the time should help keep a buzz and interest. And I know that MLB and the Expos' ownership had a lot to do with the dismantling of the Expos' fan base in the late 90's, do you really think the A's would let that happen? I think not.

Welcome to the NBA (Specifically, Bulls) section of the board.

L.A. Clippers to Las Vegas, San Diego, or anywhere where the Lakers don't play.

Oklahoma City Thunder back to Seattle

Toronto Raptors, Detroit Pistons, and Cleveland Cavaliers to Neverland

Miami Heat to the bottom of a volcano

it;s really cold. The taxes are higher. An argument could be made that canada is a less favorable place to live for a lot of Nba athletes. Both because of canadian culture(it's hockey country) and Lifestyle ( canada is a bit less lavish than a lot of american cities).

If i had the choice between Minneapolis or Toronto, i'd pick toronto. If i had the choice between toronto and Houston, portland, NYC, Chicago, boston, or any of the places with nice weather, I'd choose anything but toronto.

The people are nice. It's a nice place in the summer, but it's really cold. It doesn't help that the cost of living is higher while the quality of life isn't significantly better than most american cities.

I personally don't have anything against Toronto but it is painfully obviously that players are just not interested in Toronto, they couldn't keep Vince Carter or Chris Bosh and if DeMar DeRozan develop into a star...he will get the hell out also in a few years, clearly those players don't like Toronto for what ever reason so why continue to have that team out their since they likely will never have a chance to build a contending team because they can't keep their best players
