Anyone else think it's funny that people in agreement with google about provocative images, and suggesting we simply follow the rules, are upset because provocative images makes it difficult for them to browse discreetly at work? No?

As the Shoopster might say, "Ah, the irony ..."

I think the point here is to protect the site. Just simply follow the guidelines. After all what is really changed?

I'm pretty sure I always do, but I want to know what images on the site provoked this. It's not like hardcore porn was getting posted on a daily basis.

There is "provoking barely dressed" stuff going on in music videos, movies and advertising that young kids watch and shit ... I still can't believe it.

Not sure if you are referring to me here, but I do not search the internet discreetly at work. I do it right out in the open, as does everybody else on the trading floor, sports sites and other things like that, it is totally fine. The problem comes in when there is what you referred to as a provocative image on the screen. I am not upset with that, I am fine with that, but it puts the company at risk that someone will sue the company for this, and this does happen in real life all the time. That is why companies have a stance that this is grounds for dismissal.

Really not so sure what is so hard to understand about this. I guess blocking images would be a potential fix for this for me at work. Although by the same token, I think it is really odd that there are people on here that have a problem with not posting sexually oriented pictures on a Bears website. Kind of weird to me.

Same here. Completely fine to look at a sports site - if you're doing your job and can manage your work, not an issue. But scrolling past a shaking ass can be a problem if someone complains. There are also some posters who post at home with kids around who are going to notice giant gifs of bouncing tits. Text is fine, but the pics are unnecessary.

No, wasn't referring to you specifically, just referring to people who are surfing the web at work in general. You're on the internet, at work. You're already putting the company and your job at risk just by browsing. Kind of weird to me anyone would complain about someone posting NSFW images when you're, you know, at work, not being productive. Maybe it's because I've never had a job that allows me to even look at my phone on my downtime.

I went to work strategically naked the other week. well, not really. somebody told me I had a hole in the seat of my jeans. I shrugged it off. Later, I looked in the mirror in the bathroom and it was basically my entire ass showing. You're welcome, ladies. And yes those are calvin klein briefs.

LMFAO haahaha

Then turn them off. Problem solved. I mean, those types of pics/gifs don't show up in a thread where you really need pics on to begin with.

I now have this filling the top half of this website in a big yellow box, anyone know why the hell it's there? Edit: Nevermind, I was able to colse it out. Still wondering why it popped up there though. It's was only on the site.

  1. Google policy for adult/borderline adult images.

    • Close-ups of breasts, buttocks, or crotches
Not safe for work/school content will be removed. Thank you, and if you haven't been an issue, then no worries.

It's pretty fucking self explanatory

Cause this is where we hang out and sometimes a well placed crude gif is fucking hilarious. And sometimes its just fun in general. You don't have kids around, why are you cunting? Parents that have problems with this site can speak for themselves.

Yeah, everybody has different types of jobs. I get paid to make my bank money. If I make the bank money, they are happy and I get paid. Our compliance department is also fine with it, and I have friends in compliance that send me links with Bears and other stuff all the time.

Policies like these aren't about catering to individuals. Work, kids at home, there are plenty of circumstances where someone may not want to see that. There's a forum for it which I know you have access to. There are hundreds of T&A pics in there. That isn't enough? How many do you need on a football discussion board?

Except you're still at work, and you're taking that risk by browsing the interwebz. Sounds to me like some of you guys are looking to place the blame for the possibility of getting you in trouble.

Read 16 pages of this shit and am FUCKING exhausted. I realize Googles point is no one should post pictures of COCKS, BALLS, PUSSY, or any ANAL sex but any COCKSUCKING word I want to use is perfectly ok. So I ask....what is more rude..........a picture of a perfectly formed female ASS or the words I am saying in this post? And this coming from Google.....the purveyors of free speech? Sounds kind of like the new internet Hitler is beginning to put their foot down.

Get real

Coming here isn't browsing the interwebz, it's a familiar site that's supposed to be about sports.
