Needed a bit more #Swag to prevent the violence.
Happened on a ..........FRATurday too.
DC has always been a murder capital but during the summer a murder a day used to be typical. Last year the Trinidad neighborhood had a bad weekend but 9 murders in a weekend with 50 + shot up is some serious shit! What's the count up to today?
There has been over 50 people shot since Friday, nine killed.

No one cares.
So now you speak for the entire message board?
This one is hard for CPD to control b/c for a change it isn't the black gangs going at it, but rather the Mexicans. More specifically, northern Vs. southern cartel factions and gangs battling over drug territories.
While FirstTimer is a raging bigot, simply looking at the history of Gang Violence in Chicago goes to show that it has more to do with oppressed, dis-advantaged groups of people than race, religion or creed. All the way back to the Northside and Southside Gangs, and Prohibition. Now instead of liquor, it is drugs-but the story is still the same. And the ethnic heritage may have changed, but the socio-economic demographics have not. This is a problem that is as old as civilization itself. It will never change.[/QUOTE
Whenever there's a market created for an illegal product, it's the people with less to lose who are willing to risk supplying it. Those without the promise of a decent career etc., once that happens it's only a matter of time before $$ disputes begin. A good Chicago example would be K-town(west side where street names begin w/K)up until recently. The area itself has always been wrapped in narcotics trafficking. But about a decade ago, lots of young, white suburban kids began driving down there to purchase drugs. Shortly thereafter, the murder rate soared in that district and stayed high for a number of years.
Every poor neighborhood in the city has gone through the K-town experience at some point.
