I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life with someone.. like a "life partner" or some shit. I just wouldn't wanna actually get married.

You just never know what's gonna happen in a marriage. I'm sure when everyone gets married, they're in love and feel like they're gonna spend the rest of their lives together. But so many marriages result in divorce despite that.. and there's a lot of marriages that don't end in divorce, but they're unhappy marriages.

I wouldn't be able to anticipate something like that. I could be happily married for 10 years... then get sick of her. Or she could cheat on me... etc. If it gets to that point, it would be easier to just break up, take what's yours [even having separate bank accounts] and move on. Hiring divorce lawyers and all that stuff is just too much of a drag for me.

Well, a lot of people get divorced b/c it's just easier to run from problems than fix them and grow together...and a lot of divorces are also a cause of people who aren't together for the right reasons anyway...but...i digress.

If the issues you said haven't been voiced plainly to your girl, it might not be a bad idea to voice them. Even if it frustrates her to the point of her leaving you -- that's better than stringing her along. Not fair to her.

well yeah.. If most people knew how to work on their problems or knew how to prevent problems for occurring, the divorce rate wouldn't be as high as it is hahaha.

We know that roughly 40% of first marriages end in divorce. We don't know this, but I assume that a good percentage of the remaining 60% that stay together aren't happily married. They may be staying together "for the kids," for financial reasons, because they don't believe in divorce or for however many other reasons.

I'm sure there's a bunch of great marriages out there that last a lifetime. It would be great if most marriages went that way. I would probably feel more comfortable with it if it was that way.

I would just prefer living with someone as husband and wife.. but without it actually being a legal label. That way I can get out of it much easier. That's just how I feel about it. I don't believe in marriage, but I can understand why people do.

Couple of things... one, what the HELL are you watching? That 70's show? Miley Sirus... You're problem is solved if you do this... WGN sports only, or ESPN or ESPN2 or NFL network, ESPN Deportes with subtitles at the worst... No more marriage tv issues, problem solved.

Two, the TV is possessed, do an exorcism by throwing it off your roof and purchasing a new one.

Good luck.
