Using the cubs as an example as JNTGs comment was beyond stupid. I am sure there are other teams I could have used as an example but the cubs were right off the top of my head. Sorry if you are offended that I used the cubs in a negative fashion, i really am.

Way to blow that out of proportion. The Cubs still had prospects, just not enough. Sox have about 1 good prospect.

And those points were only to count when all compounded together, the Cubs sucked, the Sox different. The Cubs HAD to rebuild, the Sox don't, so why would they take that long route and blow up a good team?

The point was that relying solely on the farm would be a long process. The Cubs have to, the Sox don't. Using arguably one of the Top 5 worst farm systems in the last 20 years as a sole means of success when you already have a good team is beyond fucking stupid.

If there is one attribute that Hahn takes from KW I hope he learns the art of stealth. I loved how KW worked in stealth mode...shit was tight to the vest...I want that to continue.

minus FAs that the sox have( AJ, Youk, Peavy) they are a team that can contend in the AL central because of the division, but they arent "good"
