Give some thoughts...

Not sure if there's a real doable answer for that question.

The best thing to happen was freeing all of the victims of the Hxxxxx mod from permanent California vacations and creating new mods.

I'll probably get zapped into E-space if said mod reads this but holy **** Batman that guy was the worse thing that ever happened here, talk about abuse of mod powers...taking posters out of red bars and making them green, stripping away others rep points, banning people because...personal reasons etc. WTF.

Even now when he posts he is mister calm, cool, and collected, but I pissed him off and the PM's he sent me were straight up disturbing, that guys issues have issues. Removing the tyrant from power was the best thing CCS has ever done, by far. Of course the powers that be did put him in charge and give him unlimited power in the first place, so they basically put out the fire they started a few very dark years earlier.

Not complaining, though, this is really about as good as CCS has been since I arrived as part of the Great CBMB Migration of 2012. Complaints about off season derpyness in the Bears forum included.

This next bit is off topic for this thread, but not quite thread worthy, so , sorry LOU, but I gots ta.

40 years ago tonight Steve Dahl's Disco Demolition happened. I didn't go even though me and my GF both bought disco records out the bargain bin at Algonquin Records $1 I think. A bunch of friends did go with varying degrees of success getting in. We were watching it from home and it was amazing.

If you are too young to remember it or just never heard of it, I recommend checking out a few videos.

It is what it is. You've got 20ish quality posters give or take per sub, some with less, some with more and a bit of overlap.

There are also some really terrible posters per sub, and we all know who those are.

And then countless posters who either are either lurkers or don't express their opinions frequently or strongly enough to rise to the level of being recognized.

I don't know that there is any way to raise the level of discourse beyond lurkers actually commenting on stuff, and through the process of social proof, figuring out who is terrible vs who should be ignored.

Also me being a mod again. Because my removal was complete bullshit, and a paranoid power grab by Crys. Not that I really care, because being a poster is a lot more fun. Still...GAAAAAAY.

A good friend of mine is in here all the time reading and lurking, he has never logged in much less posted, the guy is shy. It's a shame, the guy is a FF expert, articulate and very well informed on all things sports and current events. He also has a great sense of humor meaning he laughs at my jokes.
