I'm just saying that that's how she interpreted it and didn't really like it.

OK, I guess I never should've talked to her then. Being nice is interpreted as "hitting on someone". I wasn't interested in her in the least, just talking to a fellow sports fan who just so happened to be female. I'll leave it at that and leave the situation alone.
