I like to gamble, but I don't have the stones to gamble high limits.

Most I've ever won on a lottery was a scratch off and I took away $100.

Gambling I've probably taken anywhere from $80-$150 in Texas Hold'Em tournaments with friends or at parties. I actually walked away with $40 bucks tonight during our weekly poker game.

I'll probably toss in a $20 bill, but thats usually the highest I'll put in as I have become a bit frugal with the economy and work being the way it is.

I remember once at Ho-Chunk I won about $25 off a penny slot.

Stopped while I was ahead and to this day it might be the most I've ever won. I'll toss around a $20 here and there but I'm not really into gambling.

In fact, I wish instead of tickets, arcades gave out pay slips... a real grown-up version of an arcade.

Everday at work I see this lady from the mail room with her smock on standing at the lotto machine in our building with a list of numbers and the clerk punching in all the codes. She drops $50+ a day on pick 3 and pick 4 combinations. And she's a low paid mail room clerk. Just shows where some people's priorities are. I'm sure this is her retirement 'plan'.

Some people are just addicted to the rush, of right before those numbers get called off, because at this point it could still be them! Never know maybe shes married and her husband makes good money.

Most people I know that play the lotto, only get a ticket on really big jackpots, or dont even check it till the next day.

I dont gamble much (and I dont consider poker as gambling) so lets see...

Biggest pot I ever won: 1640$

Biggest pot I ever lost (of my money): 900$

I mostly break even with poker with enough to pay for booze and a few bills. Every once in awhile I might clean house and usually get a couple of those for like trips to Vegas and such.

Now gambling? In Craps in New Orleans pre-flood, I ducked out of a geek conference and played craps. For any of you craps guys, we had one shooter for 37-ish min and the VERY NEXT shooter was 42 min. The House was terrified of the shooters. I bought in at 300$ walked out with just under 7k. Guy next to me bought in at about 10k (it looked like) and finished at EASILY over 120k.

Otherwise, I lose like most. Vegas was not built on people winning money...

WOW! Craps can be very rewarding if you walk in at the right time. I always pass on being the shooter, I've never shot once, I guess I just don't want to be blamed for anyone's misfortunes lol.

Probably one of my favorite games in Vegas though. You'll see me there nearly 90% of the time.

Not a huge gambler but...

Lottery: Office pool of 10 people won @ $300, just kept rolling it over until nothing was left. I've one $50 on a scratch off.

Poker: Nickel-dime-quarter games with friends I've done pretty well at over the years, Come out $20-$30 ahead at the end of the night more often than not. Playing a variety of games; stud, draw, holdem, ect... More of an entertainemnt thing though, not serious gambling.

Casino: hit a small jackpot on a quarter slot after putting in about $50, won $400. Stopped playing right there and walked away.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers

The only time I gamble is when I fart.

The most I won was a feeling of lowered pressure in my bowels and chasing a cat from the room.

The most I lost was a pair of undershorts.
