Other teams would only be interested in Roquan, Jaylon Johnson, Eddie Jackson...etc.

You couldn't even command much for Monty. It's better just to keep the guys you listed until their contracts are up. This is why it's imperative for Pace to not trade draft picks. I dislike trading down to recoup picks, but Pace has put himself in that situation giving away so many picks for Mack and Trubisky and others.

Agreed. I would trade those young defensive guys for any good QB in a heartbeat, but teams would want more and Pace has spent draft picks in trades like Richard Pryor in that movie.

That being said, Pace will move heaven and earth for a big name QB for the front office to sell fans on a new era.

I don’t know if Hicks holds any trade value when the NFL knows he’s gonna be cut.

Fuller is aging. He has value but you need a team willing to give up a pick and take is higher salary when he’s probably peaked already.

Mack might holds the most trade value on the team (R. Smith). He’s getting older and, statistically, getting worse every year. His salary is crazy high. His true value would be experienced on a team with a true interior threat, like the Rams lol. His return is at an all time low right now. To be honest I would entertain the offers.

This ^^ He's also coming off a down year. 3 seasons prior he had 7, 8, 7 sacks down to 3 last year.

Still rather keep him over Quinn but cap costs will dictate that decision.

Hicks - 4th/5th/6th rounder, probably conditional based on how many games played/his health and age.

Fuller - Late 1st round pick or a package like a 2nd and 4th. Fuller had a terrific year overall, 2021 is just his contract 'poison pill' year.

Mack - probably not tradeable due to his 26 mil cap hit this year and 27 next year. There's a need, but very few teams will be able to fit his money in.

It's highly unlikely the bears would fetch a first for Fuller. They would make that trade in a second if they could.

Mack won't cost that much for the team that trade for him. Lots of that money is prorated bonus that the Bears will have to pay. They are going to try to win this year, and Mack's dead money is quite high. That's why Mack won't be traded.

K. Macks contract has him counting 26.6 mil against the Cap this year. If traded the Bears take on 19 mill of dead cap in 2021, so technically the Bears would save 7 mil. He would cost the team that acquired him roughly 17 mil a year for two years. If you could net a mid 2021 first rounder and I am the Bears, I make that deal every day of the week.

19 mil in dead money if traded, which then replaces his 26.6 mil cap hit, which is still a net savings of 7 mil. people confuse dead cap if traded vs dead cap if cut, whenever there is a contract with guaranteed money.,

Yes, I know.

$19mil in dead money is a lot, especially when you get only $7mil in space. You're not going to come close to replacing Mack with that.

Also according to OTC it's $21m if he's traded and about $5m saved.

But if you can net a first and use that to trade up and grab a QB, then it is, in my opinion, worth it.

depends on the source I guess

Impossible to know you'd be able to go up to get a QB with that pick in advance though.

It's $21m, whatever source you're using isn't taking the $2.6m worth of restructure into account.

but yeah, I now see sportstrac showing the restructure.......

my thoughts were with both the Bears #20, and the additional first rounder gained in trading Mack, you could move up enough.
