Sounds like maybe there is something to worry about in this "slotted" process.

I think most of the time the deterrent for teams trading up is to get up in the slot position in terms of dollars. I actually believe these 7 men believe they should have been picked higher, so if it played out differently they would be making more money.

Completely agree, if Smith is not in camp tomorrow, now that the picks before and after him are done, then I worry something bigger than the Bears are letting on is afoot. That said, I won't really begin to worry until after the Hall of Fame game. If he is still not in camp by then, I will start to freak out a bit more.

The same agency represents Baker, and allen who have now signed. Granted they represent Darnold and ward who also havent signed.

Sam Acho's interview on the waddle and silvy show was pretty telling. Acho gives pretty honest interviews and he truly did not seem concerned and was saying how Roquan already knows the playbook and in OTAs already figured it out and was flying all over the place.
