I feel my first one growing in...

I was hoping they'd never come in.

I only had one wisdom tooth grow in, but it came in completely straight. I'm 27 and never had it removed. It's never given me any pain or anything like that.

About three years ago. They came in while I was in college but I was broke so I just dealt with it until a few years ago when I had dental coverage.

Unfortunately, one came in sideways and impacted my molar. It got to the point that I had to get them done. The one that was impacted messed my molar up so I had to get a root canal and crown on top of the extractions.

Shit sucked.

Mine were removed when I was 24. All four were impacted and the doctor suggested we do one side at a time so I could start eating on one side and wouldn't be stuck on liquids for too long. When he took the first set out he said they were tough and he had to give me another dose of anesthesia so he could get them out. A week later the side of my face was swollen worse than when I had them taken out so I went to see him and I got an infection because I started eating solid foods and a piece of meat went in the wound and it had started to rot in the closed wound. he had to cut the wound open to let it drain and clean it out. The second set I had no issues with. Moral of the story do not start eating solids too soon, even if the pain is gone.

Had a fantasy draft the same day my teeth got removed :dealwithit:

You may not need them taken out, the practice of taking them out regardless of how they come in is outdated. I was born without four permanent teeth in my lower jaw (the second bicuspids and the wisdom teeth) so I didn't have to worry about that, but my upper wisdom teeth came in alright for the most part. Basically they cut into the tissue at the joint of my jaws when they were coming in, but after enough was cut back/scarred over it felt fine.

Wisdom teeth haven't really come in yet, though I can feel one starting to poke through the gums up top. I think i'm getting an examination to see if i need them removed next summer. I'm 18, BTW.

3 of mine came in. Had all 3 pulled out without anesthesia. I dont like the shots so I just asked the dentist to pull them out and he did. Said he only had one patient do that. I just have a very low threshold to pain so I have had root canals and cavities filled with no medicine. I dates back to HS when I had a quack dentist that put braces on my teeth and screwed up my mouth. My gums would bleed for days. Since then I have lost any sensation to pian so I just go in for root canals and fillings with no medicine now

All four of mine came in straight. Still got them. Bottom two are only partial eruption though. From time to time some food gets stuck in there and they get inflamed, but after a day or two of swollen, slightly sensitive gums they're fine.

I think you mean "high threshold for pain.."

I got all 4 of mine out way early...like when I was 15 or 16. Went to school the next day like nothing ever happened. And no one would've known if my face didn't resemble a chipmunk within a few days.
