Tell the doctors that you have a low pain threshold and that a resistance to pain meds runs in your family... this will make sure they don't skimp of the drugs. Cause there is no reason for you to be sitting there in pain.

SR year in high school. Knocked me out and the lingering drug effects wouldn't let me piss-seriously. I didn't pee coming out of surgery for about 10 hours. I still remember walking around in the backyard begging God to let me piss. It hurt so bad.

My dentist is a good friend of mine so almost every time I go there he gives me the gas..."you in for a routine cleaning, bring the gas out"

When I was 21, summer semester at U of I between Junior and Senior year.... they came in fine, but for 3 weeks or so there was a constant pain.

I wound up buying some numbing stuff and rubbing it back there all the time.... lol for a week I had to numb up fast, eat a meal, and hope it stayed numb until I was done eating or I had to re-numb.... one time I numbed my whole mouth by accident and could not taste any of my food.

I recommend getting some numbing stuff, you can carry it with you anywhere and use it in the bathroom.... just don't get it on your tongue.

Had them taken out when i was 20..Only had the top 2. Wasn't bad at all.

Wow. I had mine taken out when I was young compared to everyone else. I had mine taken out when I was 15. They were still impacted so they cut them out and them hammered them into pieces to get them out. They took out four other teeth as well so they could put braces on in a few months. I could eat solid food for almost 2 weeks. A month later, I was still so swollen I couldnt put my football helmet on.

had all 4 taken out in boot camp by some hack dentist-in-training (at least that's my guess), who wrenched my jaw taking them out. I was given massive Ibuprofin pills to take, to keep the swelling down so I could talk, chew food, etc.

Problem afterwards was that it hurt too much to eat, unless the Ibuprofin was already in my system, and I was only supposed to take the pills on a full stomach. My stomach has been easily irritated ever since, probably due to taking the Ibuprofin pills on an empty stomach so often.

My bottom ones were impacted and taken out when I was 28 or 29..... and the worst part was the novacane shot in the jaw muscle.
I swear I thought he was stabbing my ear drum through my mouth.

I was on nitrous before the shot, and that cleared my head right the **** up. That was the only time I have ever been jolted out of my lovely nitrous audio hallucinations.

Arghh, so I never had my wisdom teeth out... they came in when I was in college.

One other time since then like a year ago they were hurting, I didn't know if they were still coming in a bit or what the deal was, but they stopped hurting after a few days.

Now I am getting it again.... they don't hurt bad, its a bearable pain.... I have dealt with literally 100 times worse.... but I am wondering if this is normal.... do wisdom teeth come in naturally in spurts or should this not be happening and I ought to be making a dentist appointment.... really don't wanna do that cause I feel like my teeth are gonna be like a car where the mechanic starts telling you that you need a million things done when all you wanted was a simple tune up lol.

Mine never bothered me at all, but the military thought otherwise. I was 27 had 3 of the 4 taken out, they didn't feel like taking the 4th out I guess. Now I have nothing but problems with that one.

I only have 1 wisdom tooth on the left side on the top but it's the size of a baby tooth and doesn't have a nerve so they're just going to leave it.
