So apparently from what I'm hearing is that everyone inside the team believes Rose did in fact tear his ACL and they are getting an MRI tomorrow to confirm that. Obviously he will likely never be what he was and will turn out like Penny Hardaway. Assuming that he did tear it, which it sounds like he did, where should we go from here? I think it might be a good time to just trade away our guys, get what we can, and get a top pick. There are a handful of guys that could be superstar players which is rare for 1 draft to have. Jabari looks like the real deal. I'm sure we could get something decent out of Deng, Noah, and maybe Jimmy.

Jabari or bust. What else can we realistically do? Rose's contract is stuck on the books.

Kirk is starting indefinitely, so hopefully that means Snell is going to get experience.

I predicted this would happen.
Cant noone say i didnt.
And i suggested trading Rose last season before his value dropped.
I got alot of heat from everyone here for it.
Could of got alot in return for him last summer.
Once you have knee problems, it leaves you injury prone and at risk the rest of your career.
:oprah:

This is so damned sad.
I feel bad for Rose after all the work he put in rehabing just to be knocked back down to sqaure 1.

First thing that should be rebuilt is the front office.
This is on Paxson.

I trade Deng for peanuts and draft picks. Hopefully to some team that will end up in the lottery. I then trade whatever starters away as well and just invest as heavily as possible in the 2014 draft. Tank the team. Its early enough in the year that we can go on a nice 23 game losing streak and end up one of the worst teams in the league.

Lots of us predicted this. I knew his legs wouldn't last a the whole season, considering his playing style and the amount of pressure on him to score. We can thank PAXGAR for ruining Rose's career. Fire those fools, then blow it up.

If it is an ACL tear, I wouldn't wanna bet on Rose coming back strong next season. I mean, we had a mini preview this season of how he will return from an ACL tear. He looked fine physically, but he was playing like shit. And then he got injured again. You just can't trust him at this point to be what he once was.

Management should really start looking at how they're gonna change the team. I'd trade Deng for scrubs/expiring contracts and a first round pick. We likely won't get much for Boozer... so ride out the season with him and then amnesty him. I'd also see how much we can get for Noah and/or Taj. If a shit team is willing to give up a first for Noah, I'd definitely consider doing that. Like, if Boston were to offer Kris Humphries and a first, I think I'd take it. We clear a bunch of cap space since Kris has an expiring contract, and we could potentially get a pretty high pick. Or to Utah for Biedrins and a first. Of course, this is unlikely because I don't think a team that could potentially get Jabari would give that up for Noah.

Then, I guess we buy out Mirotic's deal at the end of the year.

Also, I'd start playing Teague a lot more. Might as well see what we have in him. If he sucks, just unload him next off-season as well.

If we keep the team together as is, we'll be good enough to make the playoffs again... which will just **** us out of a good pick. Might as well just get this over with asap. I mean, even if Rose stayed healthy, this current team wasn't gonna win it all. So at least now they'd have another reason to make major changes.

I think the bold is what we end up doing. I really hope I'm dead wrong though.

I don't think Boston is going to make any moves that could make them better this season. I know Noah doesnt exactly make Boston better, but I think Boston is all in for this draft. I wouldnt be surprised if they trade Rondo near deadline for a pick as well. Of course many teams are going to be very reluctant to trade away draft picks for this draft unless they're already a good team.

That leaves Milwaukee, Boston, Utah, Sacramento out. Cleveland is off to a disappointing start in a season they were expected to compete for the playoffs, perhaps they may be willing to deal.

Teague is extremely young, only 20 years old, might be wise to play the hell out of this kid and let him develop, stop holding him back

you take the good with the bad, if he have Turnovers and Struggle with Certain things than so be it, no question in my mind this kid can play...IF YOU LET HIM! He has a Super Quick First Step and his Jump Shot has improved. PLAY HIM!

Need to trade Deng though!

Man, I wish we could do this. The reality is no team is going to give up a 2013 lottery pick for anyone on the Bulls roster. Would you? We may get a lower first/high second round pick, but there are very few impact players to be had this late historically.

LOL! Funny chit man, too bad the Bulls management is not that smart... they would rather win a bunch of worthless games with a mediocre team than focus on major overhaul. Compliments of a cheap owner and a do-nothing front office.

Teague should have stayed in college because not a very good player. He looks good against rookies in the summer league, but lacks the talent or skill to be a starter.

I think most f you need to adopt another team because there are plenty of them that make bad moves constantly, keep dreaming of two years down the road and are fixtures in the lottery. All you TV replay orthopedic surgeons who can see his knee before an MRI should have multi billion dollar practices. You can't wait and see before you board up the UC? Krause tried tanking this franchise and he got fired for not coming close to making out of the hole he dug and they won't be allowed to make that dumbass move again. Even a fool should see rebuilding is even more difficult now than it was in the late 90's. The next brilliant suggestion might be calling Jay Williams.

If he needs surgery and it looks like he sits out some of next season you slowly trade what others want. As someone said there are a lot of ACL injuries. Wait for the standings to settle and see what team that figures to make the playoffs and thinks they could make a run would take Deng and see what they have to offer. The same for Boozer and Dunleavy, even Teague or Gibson. But don't rush into anything and don't wait until the deadline, be ready to strike when an acceptable deal comes up.

I would keep Noah, Butler and Snell and I don't see anyone being that interested in Hinrich, Nazr, James, Murphy. Add some picks in some trades, take back some salary in others and have a roster that will end the season somewhere between the 7 and 12 slots. If they gut the team to get in the top 4 the media and actual fans will turn on the team.

Can't take people who declare a kid with 5 college games to be the next superstar.

At this point I don't see us getting any better without building through the draft. With the team as is we don't have enough to bring an impact player, even with the selling point that they will be the new focus of the team. This injury, regardless of severity, sets us back. Blowing it up is probably the best option looking to the future because even if Rose comes back fine, he's now injury prone in the Brandon Roy category in the worst case. That might be the sad reality. But let's wait until tonight before we throw ourselves off the cliff.

Though I think some people are going to throw themselves off the cliff regardless of the news

Looking forward, if the Bulls are serious about getting younger/more talent via draft, it doesn't make sense to hold on to guys like Noah, Deng, Taj and Boozer. Their best playing days are behind them and their massive contracts make them a liability for a team trying to rebuild. And make no mistake about it, a rebuild is in order.
