Where do you rank our bench?

I'm not sure how much stats tell the whole story, but HoopsStats.com ranks the Bulls 2nd behind Dallas in terms of overall efficiency difference.

Here are the top 5 teams:
1. Dallas +11.8
2. Bulls +9.0
3. Philadelphia +7.8
4. Phoenix +7.0
5. Oklahoma City +6.2

Other notable teams
6. San Antonio +5.6
15. LA Lakers -1.0
17. Orlando -1.6
18. Miami -1.7

30. Memphis -6.0

I'm kind of surprised to see that the Celtics have a worse bench than the Heat according to this.

I'm not sure I get your point. Most teams rarely have 5 bench players on the court at the same time (except late in blowouts). Of course the Bulls bench is better when they are on the court with Deng or Rose.

Are we talking about which team has the best individual bench players, or which team's bench performs best as a unit? Those are two different questions and the stats I quoted don't address specific combinations of players, or when one starter and 4 bench players, or 2 starters and 3 bench players are on the court together.

I guess I'm confused. Wade and Lebron aren't bench players and they don't "become" bench players when they take the bench or play with bench players ...

Sorry, i thought the stat looked at the combination of group out there. The heat don't often go to a geriatric bench by itself, they have to leave a starter out there, so i assumed the heat would still have a productive 2nd unit.

BY FAR the best defensive bench in the league. middle of the road offensively. i believe watson-brewer-deng-gibson-asik or something like that is the best 5 man defensive lineup in the whole league. sub rose for watson and you get second best in the league.
