Simple poll, just wondering what the majority thinks about this one. Where is Sharp going to play this year?

Personally, I think Q will do everything in his power to keep Sharp with Toews and Kane, barring any setbacks in the roster/injuries. Bowman didn't necessarily do the best job in acquiring depth for the center position this summer, but there just might be enough to keep Sharp on the top line.

It might be a toss up, Sharp may have time in both positions, but come crunch time I expect him to be with TK full time.

Depends on how Kruger looks in training camp...I would guess Kruger would have to handle the #2 center spot if Sharp plays with T&K.

There are so many variables to be worked out before Q decide on his line up....really hard to give an educated guess. So for guessing sake....I say center.

I'm going to takes Als route here. Where's the "all over the place" option? After all this is Q we are talking about.

Not to mention it really depends on how Kruger, Frolik, Mayers show up at "C" assuming Q or the team actually think 2 of the 3 can even consistently play Center.

Far too many intangibles to chose any option but "all over the place".

And this is all moot anyway beatoff! Why, because you have no FUCKING DANNY OPTION!

I know he'll probably play everywhere, which is why I said: "It might be a toss up, Sharp may have time in both positions, but come crunch time I expect him to be with TK full time. "

The question is, where is he when it counts?

I think the plan right now is Brunette with JT and PK. With Sharp being the 2nd line Center.

It will all depend on Kruger IMO and where/what he's learned/done in the off season. He's heading to Switzerland this week with 6 other Hawks. Hjarlmarsson, Smith, Olsen, Stalberg and I'm not sure who else but a few more.

Switzerland eh? Where did you hear/read that? That's interesting. It's got to help with team chemistry when a bunch of the guys do stuff together in the offseason.

I voted center - but really, who knows?

No Dany? Have we come to polls without Dany now?

I say he plays center for the majority of the season.

Where are the goaltender and 1st pair defense options. It is Q's dumb ass we're talking about.

In all seriousness I'd say 2nd line center

I get the feeling that he'll be at center--mainly because I think Kruger is not quite there yet, and Bolland will prove his worth on the 3rd line better than the 2nd line with Hossa.

I'd say center, but I hope it doesn't screw with his stats this year.

I voted Center, but my hope is to see him with JT & PK. That line is so effective and fun to watch. They look like they really like to play together. As others have said, a lot depends on how other players show up, and right now, I would think the safe bet is to use Sharp at Center.

I know some feel Brunette is not fast enough to play with JT & PK, but his hockey IQ could make up for it... being in the right place and anticipating. Also, as many have mentioned, he'll park in front of the net which is something this team really needs. He could quickly become a fan favorite if he'll stay in front of the net and clean up rebounds (if he plays with JT & PK, he'll have plenty of opportunity to do that).

Maybe i'm reaching here...but a top line of Brunette/Toews/Kane and a second line of Morin/Sharp/Hossa sound really good.

Well, I would tend to agree, but I read somewhere recently that the state of Blackhawks hockey is in purgatory...

Brouwer was never the fastest or smoothest skater but he managed to keep up with Kane and Toews many times when used up there. I have no problems with Brunette up on that line.

Sharp plays second line center in my world and I have zero issues with it.

Toews

Sharp

Bolland

as top 3 centers I am not sure you could ask for anything better.

I know it leaves us a whole on the wing up and down the line and I know it means Kane and Toews will have to adjust to a new line mate yet again. But they are two talented players who can adjust well. And let us not forget Q likes to bounce lines like no ones business.

Wow I have to say I'm kinda shocked at the results so far.

Am I really the only one who thinks Sharp with be with Toews and Kane during crunch time?

I was screaming at Q to put them together during "crunch times" last season esp during the 1st round. Q never really did as far as I remember so I don't see him changing that tune. I really think Q is sold and wants Sharp as his #2 center and to work that second line around him.

I know the Sharp debate is always interesting and it is because he is a capable player in both positions. It's a great "problem" to have. But I am actually more interested in seeing how Q manages to screw Kane this season. God I hope he drops him to the 3rd line again like he did soooo many times last year...with zero results.

I will also come out and say this. Bolland is our key. If he goes out for a long duration with an injury again then it doesn't matter where Sharp plays our center depth is fucked.

You did not shape your question that way....you asked what position the majority of the time. You left us no alternative!

Yeah now that I read it, I got ya.

I think Sharp will bounce around, but when it's said and done, I think he'll be with TK by the end of the season, maybe by the deadline or a little bit before all the way through the playoffs.

I guess the way I look at it, I think they'll stick him with TK for the final stretch and I see that as the majority.
