My favorite teams
LaRoche would be good. 100 RBI's last year, gives us an improved chance to compete, but we still probably won't.
did he really have 100 RBI's in AZ?

Yeah, because RBIs are a great stat to use to evaluate players.
How about 2.1 WAR and 5.2 UZR
I never said I didn't like LaRoche, let's just not use RBIs. No way he will get 100 RBIs as a Cub.
Just sayin' that he drives in runs.
Which is based off of where you hit in the line up
So if Theriot took over LaRoche's spot in the lineup in Arizona, he'd have 100 RBI's. If you drive in runs, you are a good middle-of-the-order hitter, that's all.
RBI are a dependent (as opposed to independent) measurement of ability. RBI don’t happen unless someone is on base. RBI are products of circumstance. Sure, it might be marginally harder to get a hit with a runner on 3rd because of the pressure. But this theoretical increase in difficulty is not drastic enough to distinctly separate the good players from the bad players. In other words, players who feel that pressure are nevertheless perfectly capable of driving a run in. Weak ground balls score runs. A 36 hopper up the middle scores a run. A high, lazy fly ball scores a run. Two players – one good and one bad – can have the same number of RBI. Therefore, RBI totals should not be used as measurements of ability.
Spot in the order is a factor, not the whole deal.
Chris Davis in our 4 spot would drive in a lot less runs than Marlon Byrd in our 4 spot for example.
You don't know that. It depends on the full line up. If Davis has Castro, Rami, and Fukudome ahead of him and Byrd has DeWitt, Colvin, and LaDouche ahead of him, I'd bet Davis drives in more runs.
RBIs suck. How do you not see this? Do I need to post more articles?
I didn't say they were the best stat. But according to you, Albert Pujols with Rodriguez, Jeter, and Milton Bradley ahead of him and Chris Davis with Rodriguez, Jeter, and Milton Bradley ahead of him (the same people ahead of each one, in the same order), they would drive in the same number of runs. Is that right?
How do you even get that out of my post? That... No. No. Read it again. Go on, read it again.
You said that if you bat in this spot, you'll drive in the same number of runs as anybody else in that spot in the same lineup. That's what I got out of it.
That's fine that that is what you got of it. Except that is not what I said. Reading Comprehension FTW!
No because you said that if Davis had certain people ahead of him, he'd drive in more than Byrd. this is inverse, it has to work out to be a function. You learn this in AAT 300.
Look at who the players are. Go on. THEY ARE DIFFERENT PLAYERS.
