My favorite teams
I love a good draft day trade, and Chicago could absolutely be a mover in the first round. I went looking into some recent draft history to see what the Bears might have to give up to move up in the draft, or what they might get in return if they move down. After looking around, I was wondering: If all of these options are on the table, which is your favorite? If the Bears made such a move, what player would you like to see drafted at that spot?
Trade with Las Vegas: Bears trade 10, 39, and 148 and receive 6 and 68 in return. This is modeled after the Arizona - Detroit trade in the 2023 draft (AZ’s 12, 34, and 168 for DET’s 6 and 81).
Stay put at 10.
Trade with Dallas: Bears move down two spaces, sending off 10 and getting 12 and 76 in return. This is modeled after the Philadelphia - Dallas trade from 2021 (DAL’s 10 for PHI’s 12 and 84).
Trade with Arizona: Bears send off 10 and in return get 16, 78, and 115. This is modeled after the Washington - New Orleans trade from 2022 (WAS’s 11 for NO’s 16, 98 and 120).
Trade with Denver: Bears send 10 , and in return get 20, 51, and a third rounder in 2026. This is modeled after the Denver - Pittsburgh trade in 2019 (10 for 20, 52 and a third rounder in 2020).
Trade with Philadelphia: Bears send 41, 148, and a second rounder in 2026 for 32 and 134. This is modeled after the Philadelphia - Baltimore trade in 2018 (PHI’s 32 and 132 for BAL’s 52, 125 and a second rounder in 2019). This one does not line up as cleanly as the others, but I wanted to throw in one where Chicago trades back into the first round.
If I made a mistake in the above items, please let me know so I can make a quick edit. Maximum two responses, because trading back into the first round can be done alongside any other option in the list.
