The whole team is made up of good defenders, we can afford a bad one.

Carlos Boozer is a bad defender and Derrick Rose is an average man-to-man defender at best. Keith Bogans and Ronnie Brewer are very under-appreciated on this team defensively.

especially brewer..rose is a good defender..certainly not exceptional but his lateral quickness helps

I think Bogans is harder to blow by than Brewer is. Brewer is mostly ideal because of his quickness and length guarding shooters who rotate off of the ball and by using his quick hands for steals.

Rose is a good shot-blocker for someone who is only 6'2'' or 3'' but he still has his problems against the Jeff Teague's of the league. He is not very hard to cross over.

I don't get why Thornton isn't getting more support

i don't think he's anything special.

he's an undersized SG who can't play defense... and he's inconsistent.

and he's a pretty good 3 point shooter.. but not a very good mid range shooter.

In his first two seasons in the NBA, he shoots around 35% between 16-23 feet. He shoots a little under 40% between 10-15 feet. that's not very good.

JR Smith is athletic, quick, can hit shots from any where on the floor, he can create, he can drive to the basket and finish, he can pick your pocket, he. Can play multiple positions with his versatility, and he is not a bad defender like some of you claim.....JR Smiths problem isn't that he is incapable, all the talent is there...his problem has been his attitude and work ethic....If he is put on a team full of discliplin and quality human beings like on the Bulls roster and coaching staff, JR will adapt to his new enviroment with a new fresh motivation and become everything he is capable of being which he dhould of a long time ago......Its not too late. For this mans supreme talent.....The Bulls is the right place, and now is the right time..........This is an opportunity with a hell of a lot more of an upside than a down side and it would be ashame if the FO passes it up because of the hateful words. Of a few people on a messageboard that claim to know all.....JRSWOOSH is the Bulls one and only missing piece...The rest of the. Pieces are currantly already in place on our roster.........Aron Affolo?????Jason Richardson???????LoL, we might as well just start Brewer because neither of them will be much of. A noticeble improvement....JR Smith is the best 2 guard available....this is not my opinion, it is fact whether you like the guy or not.....You guys shouldn't let your personal feelings get in the way of choosing a 2guard.....Judge by skill...

I voted for JRich, but I'd be fine with Chandler, Crawford, Afflalo, and Butler (who I think would be a great choice if he healed from his injury well). I'd take Brown and Young as well, but I don't think they'd be much better than what we have with our little 3 headed monster.

JR Smith is athletic, quick,

Uh, yeah. He's in the NBA. You just described every player on that poll.

can hit shots from any where on the floor,

But most of the time, he just misses them.

he can create,

He mostly creates bad situation when defenses force him baseline and he just fires up a fade away three at a bad angle.

he can drive to the basket and finish,

Almost all of those players can do that.

he can pick your pocket,

Almost all those players can do that.

he. Can play multiple positions with his versatility,

HAHAHA no he cannot.

and he is not a bad defender

He's an okay defender but undersized.

JR Smiths problem isn't that he is incapable, all the talent is there...his problem has been his attitude and work ethic....

Oh? It is just his work ethic that is a problem! That's it!? The Bulls should sign him tomorrow!

If he is put on a team full of discliplin and quality human beings like on the Bulls roster and coaching staff, JR will adapt to his new enviroment with a new fresh motivation and become everything he is capable of being which he dhould of a long time ago......Its not too late.

Did you ever stop to think for one minute that maybe... just MAYBE... the Bulls built their team with hard-working guys who play smart team basketball?

You simply do not know whether Smith would change his ways. It could very well be the opposite affect and Smith could hinder other players' work ethics like a cancer for all you know.

For this mans supreme talent.....

SUPREME? He is at best a 15 point scorer at a LOW percentage!

The Bulls is the right place,

If the Bulls want to lose perennially to the Heat every year, yes.

and now is the right time..........

No.

Smith will probably demand money that the Bulls are not willing to pay anyway. They already threw him away in a trade once. The team doesn't like Smith.

This is an opportunity with a hell of a lot more of an upside than a down side and it would be ashame if the FO passes it up because of the hateful words. Of a few people on a messageboard that claim to know all.....

Smith is a raw talent who plays SHITTY team basketball. Players like him are the reason why the league is in the shape that it's in. He didn't give a damn about growing as a player and you or I have no reason to believe otherwise.

JRSWOOSH is the Bulls one and only missing piece...The rest of the. Pieces are currantly already in place on our roster.........

The Bulls have plenty of flaws. Boozer is flawed. Noah is flawed. Deng is flawed offensively. Hell, even Rose is flawed defensively. Bringing in a shitty team player, who wants to isolate every possession, is not the answer.

Aron Affolo?????

better than J.R.

Jason Richardson???????

better than J.R.

LoL, we might as well just start Brewer because neither of them will be much of. A noticeble improvement....

Ronnie Brewer > J.R.

JR Smith is the best 2 guard available....

False.

this is not my opinion, it is fact whether you like the guy or not.....

You need to look up the definition of "fact" in the dictionary. That is your opinion.

And a terrible one at that.

You guys shouldn't let your personal feelings get in the way of choosing a 2guard.....Judge by skill...

It isn't personal. When a player is a ball hog and puts up nothing but low percentage shots... he is not going to help the Bulls.

Your lack of knowledege and judgement of players based on your personal hate are not logical......
And the players you just name that you say are better than JR proves our lack of knowledge..
When I read your statement I nearly fell out my chair laughing at you.
You would take Joe Wolf on your team over Smith......Hater faker..

Answer this question:

Is being a ball-hog a good thing? Or... is it a bad thing?

So you are now comparing J.R. Smith and his career average of 12 points at 42% from the field to Jordan and his 30 points at 49.9%?

You are smoking something plenty powerful.

How yu know?...should I save you a blunt duck of this pinnapple kush??

Also , don't put words in my mouth boy.
I never said JR Smith was MJ.
I just said MJ was a ballhog and it worked out well for him...read it again..

:obama:

I asked you if it was good to be a ballhog. You said it was good for Michael Jordan.

Let's ask you again:

Is it good that J.R. Smith is a ballhog (keeping in mind that he is not a 100th the offensive player Jordan was)?

Its not good there aeron affolo can't create his own shot.
And its not good that Richardson is 50. Years old.
Its not good that Crawford is a lousy defender.
Its not good that BOGANS just plain sucks.
You exaggerate about Smith being a ballhog.
Is Derrick Rose a ballhog in the. 4th quarter when the rest of the Bulls team goes broke?
Are you a forum hog?
Isn't there a thread that you ccreate specificly for questions???????????????
