Deciding to sell it.. and get it from a different manufacturer..

Athearn Genesis for the 70ACEs are pretty much crap.

Isn't there a mod scene based around the internals of these engine models?

Hell, if there are standard chassis options, then all you really need is someone to make upper carrier housings.

Not really in this case.. This model has 3 different manufacturers in HO scale.

1 - Overland Models (brass) 2 - MTH (plastic) 3 - Athearn "Genesis"

The problem is that each make it a different way.. and the two plastic ones really don't mix parts on this specific model due to gearing.

The Overland stuff is really freaking awesome but I can't do 900 for an engine. No freakin way.

Haha.. that would be a decent opportunity really.

Most of the Digital components are all National Model Railroad Association standardized now. So that part is way easier.
