to draft 3 starters tells you the shit talent we have on this team

True, but the overall shittiness has been fairly consistent over the last three/four years so the comparison still works :)

Why don't you let the Bears play a couple games before we figure out if our draft picks are worth anything......

Probably not the case but what if White turns out to be another Stephen Hill....

Hill has hands on stone and low production at school no to mention lacked much quickness and has stiff hips. Don't put that evil on him

Perhaps because he's never run a full route tree

Stop repeating things you read on the internet or from dumb posters here. They're not true.

or run plays from the left side of the field

Except that he did. About 10% of them.

or played in a pro style offense.

How many receivers these days actually play in a pro style offense? Did Sammie Watkins play in one at Clemson? How about Evans at Texas A&M?

Are those not valid enough reasons for you?

Well, no...because they're not very good reasons.

You'll struggle to find many guys more excited about this draft for us than me. But:

1) Jeffery wasn't a day 1-starter.

2) We have absolutely no idea if Goldman and Grasu will get the nod from day 1. It's very possible, but it's not certain. They won't be handed the jobs. White will be a day 1-starter, though. Unless he falls flat on his face in training camp.

You obviously are missing the meaning of "day one starter" in this post. Good luck on figuring out phrases in your future endeavors.

2 on your list weren't day 1 starters. And more accurately you'd describe them as looking good going forward starter.

On the otherhand, Jordan Mills was a day 1 starter draft pick.

Is it even really fair to call a rotational player like Goldman a starter? I mean, he may start but that doesn't mean he'll play a majority of snaps.

I am not trying to use an exact analogy but to anoint three draft picks instant productive starters is premature......

Man you really stumbled through this, i get what you're saying though. I'm with ya. But 3 things
1. Grasu isn't the best C yet, that's Cam Erving
2. Goldman needs a lot of work and he'll be going up against some great olinemen this year
3. Kevin White needs to Groh in his routes against NFL corners (pun intended)

I see what you did there. Grasu, White and Goldman are all day 1 starters. Now i'm not sure if Goldman will get the start just because we have Ratliff but he does have what it takes to start day 1 if that's the way Fox/Fangio decide to go. I'm not saying this will happen but it wouldn't shock me all that much if Amos gets the start at FS just cause he has the qualities that Fangio and Donatell look for in a safety but it will probably end up being Rolle and Mundy with Rolle at FS.

Not sure why this isn't a poll, but I agree with everything Pete has laid out here. Pace is probably the best GM in Bears history as I had stated in a thread before the draft that the mods locked, and the draft just proves my point. Just wait for probowl results, as it will futher cement Pace's status that I called, well before his first draft.

White's past shows a tendency to struggle, when taking the next step, and then improve by leaps and bounds moving forward. This says he's coachable and willing to make the sacrifices needed to succeed. I actually expect, at best, an average season in 2015, and a huge jump in year 2.

I hope Pace has drafted at least 2-3 pro bowlers otherwise the usual suspects will be sharpening their keyboard skills and getting the internet dictionary ready as we all know that it takes at least half a pre season game to garner if these guys will be any good.

I hope they are and I won't call it, I'll just tell you I told you so and laugh into the sunset.

Goldman is probably the highest chance of fail because of his wingspand.
I'm more concerned with his lack of strengthd. Kevin White, a WR did 4 more reps at 225d. Plus he may lack lack the ability to pass rushd on third downd.

You missed the NFL's announcement they're suspending all training camps and pre season games to avoid possible injury to the players, we are moving straight to the regular season.

Waiting for does emery ... cough pace ever sleep! threads I saw 365 days ago

Please no. Maybe Emery should have slept once in a while. IMO the warning signs with Emery were present immediately. Some people did mention their grievances only to be snowballed by populous flaming. I guess there's use crying over spilled milk & whether Pace ends up being a good GM or not is yet to be seen, I do like that has taken a crack at addressing the biggest weaknesses on the roster either through FA & or the draft. It really bugged me that Emery did nothing to address the O-line until year 2, on top of mistaking McClellin as a draftable player, let alone a first round pick. The McClellin pick was all I needed to see of Emery, after 9 years of bad picks from Jerry Angelo.

I do like the draft Pace just had. I did hope to see more defense & a QB(Hundley), but I like the players Pace picked. I believe that he hit on the first 5 picks. I believe the first 3 are good rookie starters, & Langford & Amos will play backup roles as well as important ST positions. I like that both Amos & Langford can play as returners on ST. I really like the Amos pick believe that he has a very good chance of becoming an eventual starter as well as gunner or returner. Obviously the jury is still out on Pace, God I hope that fans lay off with the "never sleeps" crap. For me next offseason is the real kicker for Pace, & that no matter what happens this season the QB position must be the top priority next offseason. IMO, if the Bears do not come out of the next offseason with what they hope is the QB of their future, there's a problem.

I'll never forget the moron on here that actually told me he believed Emery was a better GM than Jim Finks. Just, wow...

Grasu may not be an immediate starter, but Goldman and White will be. Grasu probably starts at some point later in the year. Why be intentionally dumb about it?

Because that's what this board is: clowning other posters and holding childish grudges against each other rather than analyzing football. It's like fucking kindergarten.
