Floyd has a 3.44 ERA, and a BABIP .252, so naturally he's due for regression, which if you look at his xFIP and FIP, they predict that.

Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean its bad.....

i know saber very well sir, i just dont use 1 metric that favors my arguement. but carry on with what you believe.

Maybe not very good, but he's not shitty, nor sucks.

He just has never lived up to his original hype.

Agreed. But for a back end guy, he's exactly what you want.

2008: 119 ERA+
2009: 116 ERA+
2010: 105 ERA+
2011: 97 ERA+

I mean, yeah, he's not going to be the "ace of the staff", but for your #4/#5 starter, he's pretty solid, he's exactly the guy you want to be your fourth or fifth stater.

Tonight's line-up:

De Aza CF
Beckham 2B
Dunn DH
Konerko 1B
Rios RF
Pierzynski C
Viciedo LF
Ramirez SS
Hudson 3B

Even though he's kinda old and bad, just seeing Hudson at 9 makes this lineup look a lot better.

I'm happy with the first 5 guys in the lineup. After that it gets pretty streaky.

Really AJ been pretty solid.

He's been good for a catcher. I don't know. It's hard to say that I'm disappointed with anyone other than whoever is playing 3B right now and yet the Sox aren't scoring runs or winning games. So lost.

Good news is we are still in the mix, alot of so called experts had us losing 95-100 games.

True, but after games like last night it's hard to see that there's some good in there. It's hard to remember that the Sox are still in second place and still have a shot.

We can still take the next two and win this series that's what is most important.
