White Sox Draft Thread

Might get some tomorrow. Draft doesn't end until Wednesday.

And there's a lot of pitching talent left. Wouldn't be surprised if that's the next pick.

Sox second round pick is Chris Beck. A college righty from Georgia Southern. He was apparently projected last year to be a top pick this year, but struggled this year.

3rd round pick 2B-Joseph DeMichele from Arizona State.

4th round pick-Brandon Brennan. RHP from Orange Coast College.

5th round pick-SS Nicholas Batso-Florida high school kid.

6th round: Kyle Hensen RHP
St. Johns University

Right now he's a starter, but has trouble with command and only a 90 MPH fastball.
There's belief that he could do better out of the pen. He played out of the pen in the cape cod league last summer and did well.

There's a lot of talk that Chris Beck was actually better than where he was picked. Slipped a little. Hopefully he performs well.

7th rounder: Jose Barraza C
He's a high schooler. Who knows if he'll sign with us.

After this point it basically doesn't matter, but I'll keep posting.
