This isn't the April to go with 4 man rotation. I could see it being kinda plausible in some rare Aprils, but not this April.

Why would you use a 4-man rotation in April?

Ya you don't use a 4 man rotation in April! Sign Freddy Garcia and roll with him as our 5th guy and then maybe long reliever instead of Pena

April is the best month to use a 4 man rotation based on most starters are at thier freshest in april

What is the difference this April?

Also, I'm not advocating the use of a 4 man rotation, all im simply saying is that it is a possibility if Peavy isnt ready to go, which he isn't

The best thing to do is to use a guy from the minors in the rotation for 3 or 4 starts.

I say go with a four-man rotation, but keep every starter on a strict pitch-count limit, probably somewhere around 100 or so. It isn't throwing a lot that will get pitchers hurt (necessarily), but throwing while tired.

4 starts for a 5th in April; I don't foresee the 4 man rotation happening. I'd guess Brass will fall in love with some ******* during spring training.
