Rios has made 6 errors the last two seasons.

Lets stop acting like he's awful out there.

errors have not a whole lot to do with it. If he dogs a line drive that is catchable it wont go as an error. he is asleep out there, atleast he was all last year.

Exactly right.

Will the Sox fans embrace him, or continue to hate him because of his northside heritage? I chose the latter. Plus hes not that good, but for a mill....not a bad pickup.

The meatballs will probably hate him, everyone else will probably embrace him unless he sucks.

I think he should be fine for about the first six weeks or so before he slumps. I'm not sure how those slumps happen like clockwork, but he'll bounce back in August.

The thing is that he's got so much patience and will take 4+ pitches per plate appearance so your team is better served leaving him at leadoff. He hits too many ground balls for him to be useful as a run producer or to stay out of double plays, but he can at least help you tire out the opposing pitcher. I think for a million bucks that is something you can be happy with.

Rios hits, people will leave him alone.

I don't think he'll ever get back to '06-'07 numbers, but if he can revert to his 2010 line and not be a total dipshit in centre I'll cut him some slack. But if he's going to be lethargic at the plate and dogging it in the field then bombs away.

Works out well, actually. The Sox offensive is usually garbage until mid May or so.

But, yes, his discipline at the plate with be nice instead of everyone hacking away and going down on 2-3 pitches.

casual tool box fans or what we call meatballs will....if the player is good and comes from the cubs we will embrace him....hell it doesnt matter where the player is from....if you are good we will love ya, if your bad, we will rip ya. us sox fans have a rep for being the opposite of homers....we can be in first place by 20 games and be bitching about the team.

No joke I wore his jersey to school and this was when I went to private school (which sucks and I hated public is much better)

I got sent home for wearing his jersey the principal though he wasnt a real person and it was a vulgar shirt :obama:
