Martinez would be great. Plus he almost never strikes out. Something many of our hitters can learn.
Exactly! He'd be a good mentor to some of our younger guys and even Abreu.
I'd sign Victor in the offseason. Good veteran hitter behind Abreu. He's helped Cabrera in Detroit
Sox results are win-win even if they lose.
Wins are fun, but losses mean a better draft pick. If they can draft 4th-ish, or whatever, they can get another almost MLB ready player.
Food for thought:
The Sox are going to have a losing year, again. But I can take relief in the fact that they're not losing because of Sale, Quintana, Abreu, Eaton, Gillespie, and Avi (to an extent). They're not losing because of their core, they're losing from replacement level players and below who can easily be swapped out.

No I don't fear that. I'd love vmart and that lineup would be very niceRumour is Sox are going to go hard for Vmart this offseason.
Vmart has been solid, but is anyone else afraid he'll turn into 2011 Adam Dunn, or 2008 Nick Swisher if he signs?
If he does sign, and he does do well that's a hell of a line-up with Eaton, Abreu, Garcia, Gillespie.
