That's a dam shame.
She had one of the most beutiful voices ever heard.
She was a pure flower until Bobby came in her life and turned her out..
No one knows exactly why she died.
I wonder if its from years of drug use...Either way she was way too young...
Unfortunately she crashed and burned years ago...She tried to make a comeback but wasn't too successful........A true tragedy and I give my condolences to her family...She will be missed.

It was just confirmed on the news by police that there was know sign of drug use, foul play or criminal activity......Cause of death is unkown.
All I can say is this is just tragic and unexpected....
What will be some of your best memories of her?
For me it will always be her great performance at the SuperBowl singing the national anthem...

RIP Whitney. Most of us on here are probably too young to remember how big she was in the late 80s and early 90s, but her influence on pop culture, especially breaking down the stigma MTV had on black women in the 80s was huge. It's tragic how her life spun out of control because of her marriage to Bobby Brown. She truly is one of the greatest female pop artists of all-time.
