You guys are picking busts more than just bad players.

Bust = high draft pick that never lived up to expectations
Bad player = a guy that was just not good enough to play in the NFL

When you get first round picks that should never have played in the NFL, that's a special kind of fucked up. Stan Thomas, Cade Mcnown, those guys weren't just bad draft pick busters, they were epic failures. Early draft picks that suck, stick around in the league because of GM's not wanting to admit mistakes.

Truly bad players drafted late or picked up as FA's will get cut earlier, so you have to look fast to really appreciate their shityness.

Danieal Manning. Lying down and taking the bottom in the missionary position with a Packers player, then as your team stops the Packers on 4th down in the RZ...punching a Packers player like an ornery hooker who felt the sting of her John hitting the wrong hole.

Anyone remember when Chris Boniol was our Kicker? I was just a kid then, but man I remember when he got on the Bears they would talk about how we needed to get him inside the 20 at least to give him a chance. Every FG he attempted felt like a nail biter... a far cry from automatic Gould these days.

Boniol may not have been bad in his career but as a Bear he was awful.

LOL, you guys think these kickers were bad? You havent seen anything. Back in the 60s Halas insisted he didnt need a kicker and had LB Roger Leclerc do the placekicking. Boniol or Brien had nothing on this guy....his FG % was probably around 50%. He even had trouble kicking extra points and for two seasons Halas had WR Bob Jencks kick the EPs while Leclerc continued fucking up the FGs.

Only in Chicago......

Mike Richardson
Curtis Enis
Stan Thomas
Michael Haynes
Frank Omiyale
Thomas Smith
Alonzo Spellman

His career with the Bears wasn't all that bad actually
Agreed. Walt Harris wasn't horrible for the Bears.

QB: Mike Tomczak and all between Erik Kramer and Cutler.
RB: Rashaan Salaam, Curtis (p)Enis, Cedric Benson
WR: David Terrible, Curtis Conway
TE: Alonzo Mayes
O-Line: Andy Heck, Blake Brockermeyer, Mike Gandy, Stan Thomas, Todd Berger (J'Marcus Webb is closing in on this list)
K/P: Carlos Huerta, Todd Sauerbrun
D-Line: Bryan Robinson, Phillip Daniels, Alonzo Spellman
LB: Bryan Cox
CB: Walt Harris (he had his fans though. They believed that 70% of the world was covered by water, the other 30% by him)
S: Mike Green (they got rid of Tony Parrish so they could have a "Reservoir Dogs" defensive backfield?! Seriously?)
Head Coach: Wannie

A whole lot of bad memories of shit players in this thread. Has John Theirry been claimed yet?

Edgar Bennett
Lewis Tillman
John Allred
Lemuel Stinson

Just a few names from that past I seem to remember playing like shit. But QB, now there's the real shit list.
If these guys in bold are seriously some of the worst players you've seen in your time watching the Bears..you haven't been watching them.

IIRC Spellman is top 10 for the Bears in sacks for the franchise.

49rs QB Cody Pickett went 1-13 for 28 yards that game. That's crazy. I remember it being windy, but that is pretty terrible.

I was at that game.

OMG and Webb (though seems he MIGHT be improving) get the nod imo

I also have to give an honorable mention to the latter years of "the Interceptor" Nathan Vasher. He was AWFUL his last couple years here. It didn't matter what Peanut was doing on his side because the other side was wide open the entire game.

One more to Bobby Wade. To go from Wade as the return man to Hester is like going from an alley with a cardboard box to the Luthor mansion from Smallville.

Bobby Wade. IIRC I remember him muffing 3 punts in a row one game in like 2005.

It was 2 muffs, at Candlestick, I was there....ugh.

I was at O'Hare, about to board a flight back to Cali, and right before I boarded i BB'ed the picks and saw the D-Manning was our top pick that year. At that very moment i knew JA was fucking inept. The very memory still causes me to throw up in my mouth just a lil' bit.

haha. they cleared that up. Manning's legs were bent ass to ankles and he was screaming and punching for the guy to get off of him.

hahaha, I loved that guy. He wasn't very good, but certainly not outright awful. But I did love that name.
Just in recent memory, he was better than, or at least as good as: Alonzo Mayes, John Allred, Chris Gedney
