My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Bulls
PG: Stockton, Cousy
SG: West, Maravich
SF: Bird, Havlicek, Barry
PF: Petit, McHale
C: Walton, Smits, Mikan

This team would be disgusting and could win it all today if all were in their primes and together.

Substitute Eaton for Smits, and I'll agree 100%

And I see the dilemma with some players that could have made it. Mullins, Laimbeer, and Mark Price is a personal favorite of the American White PGs(LOL). Don't forget our very own, Jerry Sloan, whose legacy would have been a lot better if the NBA kept track of steals before the ABA changes. Vandeweghe IMO, may have the best stutter-step back move ever, which no shooter today goes without.

Hopefully, Nikola Mirotic will be added to consideration in a few years. ;)

Yeah, I don't know why Smits and Nash are brought up...Nash is from Canada. Even if they are, Bird is the guy.

Anybody mention Rick Barry? Franchise player level SF that won a title in the 1970's? On the 50 greatest list...

All American in a run away blowout. The only position that is close is PG and after the starters at that position it's a run away train for America.

Since I love defense, I would vote Bill Lambier. Toughest (white) moherfuker I have even seen play in the NBA.
My vote 1b would be John Stockton, noone is close to touching his assist prowess in the NBA today except Nash and Kidd.

I

Bird, West, ect I never got a chance to watch so I could vote to for one o those "old-old" players.

Love Jimi.
