There is a difference imo. Cartoons are like Loony Tunes. Shorts that are meant to entertain us as a child. Anime are more indepth like any tv series today, with a plot and character development, prime example is Fullmetal Alchemist. Compare that to say South Park, and theres a serious gap. Doesnt mean I dont love em any different

Cant say I have a favorite character, each character in a show makes the show.. As a kid, loved He-Man and G.I. Joe. Then the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Even liked Chip n Dales Rescue Rangers. Today, South Park, Fullmetal Alchemist are my favorites. When I did watch Adult Swim, Big O and I believe Blue Gender and Cowboy Bebop was rather good too.
