my vote is kirk hinrich. he's a good player, but we aren't using him adequately. we need a scorer, not a defender. i'd trade him for an expiring and a low draft pick. if you want a great defender, lets get tony allen this off season for 400K. Honestly i'd rather have a (low) draft pick and cap relief.

I'd like to trade Kirk and Deng. Deng has been good so far this season but we can't have his contract and be a contender while being handicapped by the LT. By moving Deng's deal for an expiring, we can also bring in 2 max deals if salmons opts out or kirk is dealt. I'd love to bring in Josh Howard, Mike Miller or Bell as one of the expiring deals. All of them are injured now and will have to be dealt closer to the trade deadline. But they can all spread the floor.

Agreed. But I'd trade anyone except Rose & Noah.

The only trade I'm interested in seeing has to be a simple deal where Pargo is dealt for a second round pick. By making that deal the Bulls could then sign two D-Leaguers(PG & SG) for the rest of the season.

The Hornets could be a team that gets suckered into that type of trade.

He's playing well of late, we might be able to get Portland to do it. Something like Blake, Outlaw and Howard for Deng.

i think a lot of people are liking deng right now. i hope deng plays ridiculously well, so we can trade him for a high draft pick. my dream is that deng averages 20/10 this year, so we can trick the pacers to trade him and a draft pick for danny granger.

part of the problem right now is there is no spacing on the floor. Teams wont guard our team on the perimeter, if we only have 1 decent shooter on the floor. Rose and deng seem like a bad combo until either, we get a 3 pt shooting big man or if rose/deng will develop a 3.

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Cubs
  1. Chicago Bulls
  2. Golden State Warriors
  1. Chicago Bears
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I think I speak for 90% of the board by saying Hinrich. I speak for another 7% by saying Tyrus. Done.

this may sound crazy but how bout deng for kevin martin?
they make about the same salary. we could move salmons down to the 3, and have a great 3 man guard rotation with rose, hinrich, and martin. salmons/martin/ johnson, we could have a nice lineup

we'd loose a lot defensively. A LOT, but we'd get a nice offensive player. it might take the pressure off rose and hinrich and salmons. However he isnt a great 3 point shooter, but man is he efficient.

Everyone except Joakim Noah has to be open for shopping. (And even Noah isn't untouchable...but not a guy you actively want to lose, just a guy you trade if you get an offer you can't refuse).

People will probably hate the idea, but I'd love to trade Rose while he still has "potential superstar" value, if he finishes the season averaging 15/5 with 3 TO and 50% TS I think our chances will be gone to get any value for him.

We should have traded Rose this summer, and then re-signed Ben Gordon imo. That wasn't quite my opinion in the offseason (which was keep Rose, re-sign Gordon), but it is becoming somewhat clear that is the right idea.

Although I would have to wonder what the team would look like if we had re-signed Ben Gordon and used the MLE on Charlie Villanueva (LOL at the idea of JR using the MLE to improve our team, while pushing us even deeper in to the luxury tax).

Then we would have had:

PG-Derrick Rose/Kirk Hinrich
SG-Ben Gordon/John Salmons/Kirk Hinrich
SF-Luol Deng/John Salmons
PF-Charlie Villanueva/Tyrus Thomas
C- Joakim Noah/Brad Miller

We would have had a big front court, and plenty of depth. We would have had Brad Miller, Tyrus Thomas, Jerome James' expiring contracts to leverage at the trade deadline to add more talent to our team.

Uhhhh, that is not clear to anybody else but you that keeping Gordon over Rose is a good idea. I think Gordon would be surprised if the Bulls made such an idiotic move as that.

Bulls could have kept Gordon, and then sent Rose along with some crap for Chris Bosh, and then added another player with the MLE. I'm sure they'd be looking a lot better now if they had done that, than they do now.

While I don't agree with trading Rose. We could have conceivable had our 2010 this summer if we resigned BG and completed the boozer trade we held up. We would have had a team in the LT but with the same cap number next year.

Rose/Pargo/Hunter
BG/Salmons/Pargo
Deng/Salmons/JJ
Boozer/Taj/JJ
Noah/Miller

With the way BG, Deng, Boozer and Noah have all played to start the season, we would definitely be a top team in the league.
