Rose for Kobe is just plain crazy. Kobe has a year or two left of prime basketball. Rose is 10 years younger than him...nothing to talk about there. If Kobe was 22...that is quite different, but too much tread on those tires....forget it.

I see Kobe taking the Bulls to the Finals MORE in 2 years than Rose could in 12. I'd do it in a heartbeat.
What if Rose signs with the Lakers or the Knicks when he's an unrestricted? What if he only has 5 or 6 good years, gets hurt and is Penny Hardaway?

Even when I disregard my emotion/homerism, I wouldnt trade him for anyone. I truly believe that Rose has a ceiling high enough to be the best in the NBA. Better than Durant, better than Dwight, better than Lebron.

Kobe is closer to getting hurt badly than Rose...no way would ANY GM make the move you are talking about...its a bad, bad move.

Did you just have a Freudian slip that Kobe Bryant ISN'T as good as Jordan there? Even in '97, teams would have lined up around the block if they could acquire Michael Jordan.
Serious question - do you believe Derrick Rose will finish with MORE titles than Kobe Bryant will win the REMAINDER of his career?

I'll give you he has a LOT more mileage on those legs. But I actually think the Bulls would be better with Kobe than the Lakers would be with Rose.

Dude im not even that big of an NBA fan and i know that this trade idea is stupid. Quit stroking kobe man he WAS great, but sorry he is on the downward slope of his career, Rose is just taking off and with his youth has the chance to become the next BIG thing in basketball. Do i think he will finish with more then Kobe probably not Kobe has 5 that is going to be very hard for Rose to do. I think we will see 2-4 from Rose during his career in chicago. Rose has to deal with a couple more super teams (celts, lakers, heat) then kobe and shaq had to face when they went on thier threepeat.

That is the last reason why you trade someone. The question is are the Bulls better with Kobe than they are with Rose....the answer to that now and for the next 10 years is emphatically no!!!

The main two guys I would want to trade Rose for are James or Howard. But the thing about that is those two guys are clowns. I believe both James and Howard will have Championship rings before either of their careers are said and done. But I see something from Rose that I don't see anywhere near as strongly as those two guys: desire to improve, desire to be a leader, and a stronger desire to win for his respective city.
