There wasn't really for the most part. I remember cheesegoof specifically making threads and posts that would cause a permanent ban within seconds now. He might of had law enforcement at his door as well today.

I took a ton of week bans for simply hating on Jay Cutler. Apparently the Rex vs Kyle years tore that forum apart and it was unite under Jay or post elsewhere in 2009.

Then after the NFCCG, I got banned till March for bumping just one single thread from that 2009 season.

Reddit was even worse.

CCS might be the only place I have never been banned for calling Jay Cutler a brane dead loser.

The old CBMB was crazy. First foray into online posting, if you will. 63BearsFan and his DUT theory. The Mick/Spartan, Kyle/Rex wars, Sunbiz. I had several handles but most were banned. Once I was "63BearsFanLilBro" for a day and had everyone believe he died. What a night.

We're all older so more nostalgic, but CCS is better. CBMB was just the new shit, and we were younger. I still remember so many different handles. Modo was StrangerwithCandy, Kitty was Ole, etc. Didn't HeHateMe disclose he ate horse on the CBMB and piss everyone off? LMFAO. Maybe it was CCS.

Since I was never there I am also interested in the REAL reason it got shut down. Not a bunch of trolls excuses and reasons.
Actual truth. Which is missing here for the most part.

im 90% sure the da cliques, mods etc was the reason, if not, my bad. because im 90% sure that its byproduct led to members bypassing the mods and complaining straight to people within the bears organization that final year or two, if not, my bad.

im 90% sure that some racial discrimination shit was being brought up from what i was told, if not, my bad. its been so long that my 90% sures may be wrong, my bad. im 90% sure, general bullying, harassment n the such 2, if not , my bad. etc etc etcs

im 90% sure i knew this vietnam vet who contacted someone in the bears administration all the time, if not my bad. im 90% sure the guy would literally get banned for nothing. ....well he would make someone look stupid during an argument about the foosball and that said person who feels got hurt would get a mod to ban him, if not, my bad

i cant remember his name cause it kept changing all the time due to being banned. last time i saw him he was happy with facebook because all he wanted was a properly modded place to talk bears. dat was forever ago. might be dead 2day for all i know... im 90% sure that other general ppls who were complaining to the bears just wanted a safe space for their family, specifically their kids. Plus a place where they could post without being banned for nothing. ppl literally got banned for nothing all the time, if not, my bad.

im 90% sure former mods should know about ppl going around them and contacting the bears organization directly, if not, my bad. like im a nobody on the real and im 90% sure i know, if not, my bad.

Im also 90% sure the Bears worried about the liabilities...... perception and legality wise from what i was hearing, if not, my bad. It wasnt long after the cbmb shut down someone sued a messageboard for defamation. TOS were thrown out and mods/site were held accountable due to such and such. im sure a google search can easily find what im talking about. not long after may be 1-3 years. i forget.
im 90% sure the bears saw the long term, did a risk assessment and got out before shit gots too real, if not, my bad.

wouldnt be hard to run one on a cesspool these days.
