I just finished up working a lot of overtime, so I hope to actually be able to watch some of the games and be more active. It has sucked to pretty much come home from work, eat, and go to bed for awhile now.

Here's another reason the NHL lacks popularity. Hawks own a Cup, won 3 in a row...and are relegated to page 10 of the Tribune sports page today.

Yet, Theo Epstein/Cubs adorn page 1...in November of all months.

I really don't give a **** if the NHL lacks popularity. That just means they're missing out on what's probably the golden age of Blackhawks hockey. This is, by far, the best professional sports organization in Chicago and if people aren't watching, it's entirely their loss.

No argument here, the more they get relegated to the back of the sports section...the more I appreciate what they have/and will accomplish.

Although, I have to admit...the lack of press coverage annoys me.

This.

It is wonderful that all of those people came to the parade and all, but most of those "fans" do not give a shit about this team until the playoffs roll around, and then want to show their fanhood at that point. The same can be said about most of the "fans" that are at the games during the playoffs.

Hawks fans are on HFboards.com

Here is more for Bears fan pretty much.

While that is the case, we're attempting to get more Hawk fans posting. They are just so spread out.

Any chance we could do a new member give-away or something? Free hat or game-used stick signed by Roenick or something?

I still lurk. But honestly, the season is so damn long, and the playoffs are the most important thing. I assumed they'll coast to a top 3 seed. But once Bears season ends, it's just Hockey and Soccer.

Also. St Louis is a real pain in my ass.

Wish I could post more often, I find the older I get, the less free time I seem to have. But thanks to my DVR, even though I cant watch all games live, I do get to watch all games not on WGN. This team is playing great following a cup run. I am enjoying all of these games even if the bandwagon fans are not. Outside of Bulin's play there isnt much I can seem to find to complain about. H4 and Odulya are fantastic night in and night out.
