You would rather have the guy that organized a walk-out on his professional team because he had disagreements with his coach over his role?

I'm sorry, but Rip's combative message needs to stay far away from any of our young players. J.R. Smith is a saint compared to RIP.

I'd take him as a backup to Deng and that's about it. He could teach Jimmy a thing or two about defense.

Disagree. Not saying that staging a mutiny against your coach is a good thing, but the Bulls have a need for a player like Rip Hamilton. And he's an intelligent player on the court unlike J.R. Smith.

Rip is definitely intelligent. We're too close to getting over that last hump, I personally don't think we can afford to take that kind of a risk. The chances of Rip settling for a bench role and not starting trouble don't look good to me. Last season wasn't his only blow up and he isn't exactly a young or immature player, he knows exactly what he's doing.

Getting a player like Richard Hamilton for the veteran's minimum seems like a pretty decent option if that was somehow possible. There isn't an issue about Pistons-royalty going on here. Ideally, yes, he would come off of the bench, and I'm guessing that he wouldn't like it. For this reason, and others, he is not among my dream players to come to the Bulls. But if J-Rich, Caron, Hill, and all of the young RFA's go somewhere else (and Rip is somehow cut) then I'd take Rip if he seemed halfway reasonable talking to him.

How come

well..i dont think he's really a player that's needed on the bulls first off....a lanky aging prince at SG? idk if prince fancies a role off the bench...in that case where do you start him? certainly not over deng

he's not a bad player...but he is aging, will still be worth a chunk of dough(he's still putting up ok numbers, although the pistons are now an abomination...so there can be the argument that his numbers are inflated), and i dont think he really fits the bulls tbh

i see the argument for rip...does he a bit of an attitude? maybe....but he's still a good player(declining and aging along with injury prone)...good shooter..and more importantly i think he fits better with bulls and what they need

Gordon makes the Bulls a worse rebounding and defensive team (the 2 areas we have a slight edge over Miami) and MAYBE a slightly better offensive team.

Unless Gordon is in Korver's role then he doesn't have use on the Bulls.

I kind of feel the same way about Jamal Crawford although he is a much better offensive player than Gordon.

i agree although the bulls certainly would be helped by someone who can create(and shoot the 3)...the thing is gordon counterbalances these strengths with the weaknesses you listed..so i dont feel that gordon is a good fit

Prince signs 4 year deal with Pistons. Why would you sign a guy for 4 years who's career was basically finished 2 years ago? I wouldn't mind having Jerebko as a backup for Deng but he also signed 4 years with Pistons.

Loyalty. I have no problem with signing players out of respect and loyalty to them. The problem here, is that the Pistons are just hardcore underachievers with TOO MUCH loyalty to their twilight players.
