For the Bears, yes... At halfback. Took 10 others still at the end of the day on that field with him.

You'd be amazed at how bad those other 10 were for the majority of his career, though.

If Payton had played on the teams that Emmitt Smith did, he would've passed 20,000 rushing yards easy. Payton was the entire Chicago Bears offense for the first 9 years of his career. Around 1984, the talent around Payton finally caught up.

Alright, I'll concede that maybe Urlacher isn't a wussy but he still runs off at the mouth too much. I pretty much lost all respect for him when he was talking smack to Gale Sayers. I know Bears fans were pretty much divided down the middle on that.

Didnt Sayers start the shit tho? Couldve sworn he made the 1st move and Urlacher answered in defense. I know Payton was the shit and the 10 around him sucked ass. The man was amazing no doubt and no one can argue that against #34. But one person alone cant do it all, it still takes others around him. My point is we cant just 'crown' one person and him alone. If we go statistical, than Brady and Manning will never be shit to Farve. But I hate that comparison as with each generation the game is different.
