81 PDs Urlacher to 31 PDs Thomas. There's that pass defense difference. That shows up big in being a three down LB vs the two down Thomas.

Fake news. Thomas had 38, not counting his first 5 years due to PDs weren’t tallied stats. It wouldn’t have been close to 80, but closer than the 31 you stated

Thomas is the Karl Mecklenburg of his era. 1103 tackles and 79 sacks from his inside linebacker spot. From purely a stats point of view he should get in, but didn't because of Singletary from roughly the same era.
