Why was SP94 banned?

If what SP94 did was ban worthy, what does it take for others to get banned?

I remember getting a warning a while back and I didn't do anything near what SP94 did. He's annoying and his shtick is old, but he's good comedy to say the least. Other posters go out of their way to put other posters down and belittle other people's opinions and nothing is said to them.

Threatening other members gets you banned. Baiting does not get you banned on this forum.

It's like the NFL, they never see the initial foul, just the reaction.

That isn't fair to me. It's cool to insult people and bait people but if you react you get banned.

I guess like they say in the NFL..don't react. I don't agree with it, I think obvious baiting should be constitute a ban.

Must only be an issue to the member base here. Rush, Zack, and the other mods rarely have a problem. When a mod or Rush does they PM me and I back off in that instance or move on.

Its amazing how in the CCS sports forums, disagreeing with someone is defined as "trolling", stating facts is defined as "being negative", and having a logical argument is a "bannable offense".

You should be thankful that CCS doesn't ban people for being Special person, because you would be on the first train out of here. Stop acting like a bunch of women.

I don't care if someone disagrees with me, but what FT does is beyond that. You don't agree because you two pretty much say the same things. It's a reason he's on my ignore list and you're not even though you were on his level for a while.

If something I say doesn't make sense fine.

I banned SP94 after discussing this with other moderators. I do not frequent the Bulls forum and thus am not part of whatever cliques or groups you guys seem to be in. Even joking about doing bodily harm to another member is a no-no. Rush has very few hard-and-fast rules on this site, and does allow a fair amount of trolling (which I have talked to him about) but there's a fine line between calling someone an idiot and threatening to kill him.

FirstTimer is an epic dick and an asshole but he's also right that if you do not like what he has to say, either report it to the moderators or ignore him outright or with the ignore function. Don't feed the troll. You all know he is one, so don't add fuel to the fire. As long as he isn't threatening you with bodily harm or calling you something homophobic or racist there's really nothing the mods can do about it with the rules as lax as they are now. If you want it dealt with, this forum will become less of a playground and more like a detention hall. I'm pretty sure no one wants that, even if the trolling gets very annoying.

To be honest I kind of wish you'd tone it down a bit, but I just enforce what little rules there are and don't think I have the authority to change the current dynamic of the board. As long as you don't threaten to carpet bomb somebody's basement I'm just going to leave things be.

You use this place to behave in manners that would not be accepted in person, that's what trolling is my friend.

And you go out of your way to find potential victims(usually newer members). I recognized your game long ago, so I ignore your juvenile shit.

I also overlook it b/c you actually do have intelligent, relevant postings...most of the time.
