Shaw and Hayes are crushing it in the NHL. Love to see them stay up for awhile. Bickell can sit in the press box until they cool off.

Secondary scoring! Awesome.

Though more than anything, my favorite play was on the empty net goal. At my house, whenever the other net is empty, we call it Frolik-time because that's when he scores all his goals. That whole shift with the pulled goalie, we were watching him circle away from the action hoping to snag a loose puck so he could rush down for the empty netter. Lo and behold, the puck comes to him and while he's looking down at it, he gets STEAMROLLED.

That was my Miller Lite Taste Greatness moment of the game.

I think it was maybe 1987 - both Ryne Sandberg and Shawon Dunston were injured -and there were 2 guys that came up and did ok -- I think they were Paul Noce and Mike Brumley.

did ok - at first.... once major league teams adjusted to them (iow created the book on them so to speak), they showed that they were career minor leaguers.

If you see where I am going with this...

I suppose what I am saying is - it is all good while it lasts, but there is precedence for things like this not lasting at the major league sporting level.

Every win we get without Sharp is encouraging as all hell IMO

Secondary scoring finally showing up somewhat consistently
:yeah:

I suppose that it would be ridiculous to state that if 'secondary scoring' happened all of the time, then it would actually have become 'primary scoring'?

Fortunately (or unfortunately I guess) I don't think we're in any real danger of Andrew Shaw overtaking Hossa :elephant:

Kruger activated and Smith sent down.

Right move, I wasn't impressed with Smith's game at all over the last 2 games (too many defensive lapses)

He did score against Columbus though.
