Now that the Bears have real alpha male coaches Cutler is going to throw for 6,000+ yards, 60+ TDs, and 0 INTs. #CALLEDIT

Trestman's nerd personality and laid back coaching style are clearly to blame for all of Cutler's flaws and shortcomings. The bottom line is under no circumstance is Jay Cutler ever responsible for his own play.

If he threw an INT, its because the glare from Trestman's nerd glasses was blinding him.
If he held onto the ball to long and took a sack, it was because he was distracted by Kromer talking shit on the sideline.
If he missed a wide open down field receiver it's because holding hands during Trestman's pre-game prayer circle made his hands all sweaty.
etc, etc...

I for one am looking forward to the upcoming excuses for this year. Should be pretty amusing to see how creative they get now that Trestman isn't here to scapegoat.

I think Cutler will have a good year. Hoping White makes a big difference, steps into AJs role, as AJ steps into the BM role. DEF has to be better, right? I think he's still make some stupid mistakes, but think he should play well. Sadly, I expect Rodgers to have an epic year, again, at the top. Worst? McCown/Manziel combo.

The law of averages tell me he won't do well. Or was that the black magic ball.

Unfairly blamed? Trestman, unfairly blamed? WTF were you watching last season?

Uh, no...

It's unfortunate that some hate Jay so much they overlook Trestmans pattern of coordinating offenses. It's really, really simple. He's. Not. Good.

He was out of league 10 damn years for a reason. One of the worst hires I have witnessed in my life.

Can't wait to see #6 light it up this year.

Quote me.

Trestman was terrible, you're right. And Jay is just as bad.

You nerd dorks like yourself should enjoy the game from the sideline. Trestmans nerd dork personality couldn't control the environment of a NFL locker room.

You releate to Marc, that's cool, I get it.. But stop thinking of how much you like Trestman and wish he was your coach in madden and la la land. Because this is the Bears! And he ain't fittin

Sorry, you can blame Trestman for a lot of things but Jay Cutler's regression is not one of them.

Trestman's system runs just fine when the QB runs it the way it's supposed to be operated (i.e - make quick reads and decisions then accurately deliver the ball to whichever read in the progressions is open -- go back and watch McCown run it if you've forgotten already).

The offense didn't fail because Trestman is a nerd that runs some predictable system, it failed because the QB executed poorly plain and simple.

Cutler made poor decisions when to audible and when not to. He mechanics regressed which in turn affected his accuracy which in turn wasted a ton of plays misfiring on anything over 10 yards to the point where they were forced to scale back the playbook and keep everything short (which you morons interpret as OMG Trestman only calls screen passes ).

And most importantly he struggled in his reads and progressions. When a QB doesn't throw to a wide open WR for an easy 3rd down conversion and instead dumps it down to the RB for garbage yards and a punt you don't blame the system and coach for "calling another screen pass"... you blame the fucking QB for missing his read.

Serious question, at what point is Jay Cutler responsible for his own performance with you folks?

It's absolutely unbelievable and pathetic that desperado actually thinks this is why Trestman was fired.

"You folks"? What do you mean "you Folks"?

I used to stick up for Jay all the time, but last season was inexcusable, he sucked. I do think he is better then he showed last season and can be in the 15 to 20 range of NFL starters, not elite but a solid starter. His contract offer was a joke, but I don't blame him for signing it, that shit is on Emery.

I had to call you out on this:
Should be pretty amusing to see how creative they get now that Trestman isn't here to scapegoat.

Trestman is a lot of things, a scapegoat isn't one of them. He deserved every bit of the criticism he received after last season.
